Well, the pump price in Lafayette jumped $0.10 yesterday virtually city wide. That's a 7% one day hike. It had not fallen 10 cents over the past 3 weeks.
The February spot price on crude (which was refined and is being sold now) fell more than 9% on average compared to the January spot price. The winter refinery maintenance is almost over (if not done), and the storage tanks are dam near over full anyway. Last time I checked the weather, there were no hurricanes in the gulf. Last time I checked the news, the situation in the Middle East was unchanged.
Talk about too big to fail.....
