Collision with Bambi on CTY RD K in Vilas County, WI. last Wednesdy afternoon say about 5:15 PM has left me with 6 broken ribs on the left side, left broken collar bone, broken left pinky finger, sprained left wrist and partially punchered left lung (actually reinflatted now) plus the bike needs some attention which I ain't up to tackling just yet . . . Wearing the GEAR made the difference between a ride to the hospital or a ride to the morque. God, this just sucks. I was so looking forward to this event and meeting so many of you in person. Enjoy and I will be thinking of everyone. I hear you have been enjoying some record heat . . . head up into the mountains for relief. Ride safe !

Ouch. Really sorry to hear you got hurt like this! Heal fast.

Hopefully Bambi took the ride to the morgue so there won't be more of the forest rats next year!

With Checks on this. I'm still having trouble getting there but I'm not in pain. Heal well lad. Use your imagination on the net and find a few farkels to pre-plan. Hell you will have the bike apart anyway. So .......... farkel on!

George,

That's quite a lot of damage you sustainted. I'm really sorry to hear about your deer encounter. As you're obviously aware, it could have been far, far worse. I'm glad it wasn't.

It really seems as if the deer population has gotten completely out of control throughout the US. Can anybody figure out how to make gasoline out of deer? That ought to do it.

Heal up. I'll look for you in 2009.

Man, very sorry to hear this one. Here I was feeling bad about my spill on the way here (written from NAFO, by the way) but I wasn't hurt and I'm here anyway. Just sans the FJR. Sorry you'll miss this, wish you a full recovery and excellent insurance coverage.

Sorry about you getoff... NEVER a good thing..

Now you can sport the crash club emblem lik emany of us..

ALL the frikken gear.......... Yes,, It probably saved your broken ribbed ***..... Good for wearing it
