Nice RR, mi amigo.. and great to read you are well.

You're Rich, or you're Mark? Changed your name to go with the change of location? Witness protection? ;)

Thanks for the RR! Beautiful country out there! :)

Wheaton's RR title immediately reminded me of my late father. When we were doing anything particularly pleasurable - for example floating the Lower Yellowstone River for several days - he would say, "I wonder what the poor folks are doing today." Yes, you don't need money to live a rich life; you just need to appreciate that wonderful pleasure is available almost free. Wheaton understands this and illustrated that understanding most eloquently. By the way, wife and I rented an FJR for 7 days in 2013 and rode 1,600 miles of north Georgia, east Tennessee, west N. Carolina and S. Carolina. That is some superb riding! Can you imagine, we almost got tired of twisties?! Almost too intense, all the time. We did, after seven days, yearn to see the Montana Big Sky.

You are right, sir. Upstate is a very nice place to live, work, and ride. But you gotta stop telling everybody that or they'll be moving south and driving slow.

Exactly what I was thinking!

Yes you did! and Thank You, just because you figured out the secret of living in the South doesn't mean you need to share it with the World!

Nothing to see down here. Roads are poorly maintained. Bad food. Stay north and enjoy the change of seasons.

Nice RR. And yes, we all know how great the riding and weather are down there

Looks like a wonderful day with a little bit of everything. Good riding, some stop-n-sniff, food porn, and even a stroll with Mama. A+ for you, Mr. Wheatie!

Two questions:

1. What does HOON stand for?

2. Can you (or anyone) tell me what those red berries photographed on the campus are? I don't think we get those down here.

Cheers!

Mr Pants...HOON was a name derived from some Arkansas, Okie, and Missouri HOOliigaNs. I believe they started posting rides in AR not too long after the FJR first came out. I believe that petey and LiquidSilver are two of their illustrious members. You will have to ask them about it, cuz I have no idea how they came up with that name.

hppants, the "HOONS" short for hooligans came about way back in late 2002 when a bunch of FJR owners met on the "FJRowners Forum" and decided to meet up in Mena, AR to ride the twisties. We meet twice a year (spring and fall) at different locations in AR or MO, come join us. We usually meet

Friday evening, ride a 300-400m spirited loop and ride back home Sunday morning. All are welcome, the only requirement is that you ride to your ability, no one is ever left behind, and we don't stop a lot for pictures and such, but do catch up with pics and an adult drink or two after the ride.
