I've got the Tired part covered but the RE part still eludes me. Now Carver wants me to take up the slack for him. After the KZ it will be the two BMW's and the Harley.

Maybe his retirement will cover mine.

OK Ray, I have to ask: Is carver actually going to start restoring his BMW /2's or is he just jacking off by the numbers again?

Papa Chuy Viejo could possibly take those POS Teutonic Turds off of his hands!
I reallllly like old airheads so IF they happen to get this far then I will do them justice. You have your own POS Titanic Turd in the form of Skooter.

Thanks, guys!

I start the new gig next Monday.

It's kinda like a trade-off, $$ for time.

Isn't that always the case? I do wish you well, Don. Hell, who would not? You are one of the genuinely nicest people I've ever met.

I never really realized that you were underemployed at the time, and that was what allowed you to come out, but I too am grateful for that previous situation as it did allow you to come here meet many of us "right coast" types last year. Sometimes I wish that I had such a hiatus somewhere along the line in my career, but I'm too chicken to try to make it happen. I just imagine that it is a lot easier to move from an employed state to an unemployed one than vice versa.

Retirement... sure seems unlikely for me until they kick me out.

The closest I'll ever get to being Re-Tired is getting new tires on my motorcycle. With the obligations I have I will certainly work be employed till I die.

I wish you luck in whatever your future holds. Make plenty $$$ so you can buy more motorcycles and take more motorcycle rides.

I'm in the your camp Redfish. In my line of work My situation is that most of the time I'm having waaay more fun doing what I do for a living than anything else I do to have fun. I'm thinking I'll be doing it until the wheels fall off. If the alternative is having nothing productive to do, I'll pass. Sitting on the couch Watching Oprah and eating Bon Bons would bore me to death no matter how much I ride my bike. I'm sure my plan can't suit everyone but, it'll work for me just fine.

I have a few retired friends and the thing they didn't plan on was having their (SO) Honey Do list maker staring them in the face 24/7 asking: Is THAT all you're going to do all day?! Uhhhhh I'll pass on that one too!

Majicmaker my friend, some folks have too much energy and drive to just stop when they retire. I see some people like my father-in-law that are busier now than when they were working. My own Dad works sometimes, rides sometimes, and finds stuff for me to do sometimes. My issue is that I have a wife...

Truly, folks like you and I don't make good couch potatoes. I am sure I am not going to make a good old man at all. Of course, if my riding skills don't improve, getting old is a non-issue.

I'm next. I'll retire sometime next fall. Around September 2013. I'll be 591/2 + one day. Looking forward to a lot of riding. Congratulations.

So ya found another employer desperate enough to hire yer smelly old ***, eh, doofus? Will wonders never cease....

Yep! I agree. If I were to ever retire, I'll find all sorts of stuff to do. The problem will be will it be more fun than what I'm doing now. My dad is pushing 88 and has a 75 girlfriend. He has reverted back to being a teenager. Not a bad target to aim for!

I think my 'retirement' is gonna be good for Ray!

Just spoke with Don. The new job is Gay ****. I just want to say that this forum supports all types. Don will be in a multi movie production of "bears" (as opposed to "twinks"). I'll let Don explain the rest.
