Man, That looks Good. :)

majicmaker, you have GOT to get out of Florida.

I think I'll be OK Michael!! Florida has got some Babes all over the place! And THAT ain't one of them but, Thank You for your kind suggestion!

And Wheaton, I didn't have sex with IT!....... IT had sex with Me! Big Difference Amigo! :D

Wow! Three Gen-1 FJR's. Brilliant, that way when one or two of those fugly Gen-1's break down you will still have one you can ride. :yahoo:

I say - DO IT!!!

Black is beautiful! stock, they're not black enough, I had to do more...

BlackBeauty.jpg
Wow!! Sweeeeet!! :clapping:

The Pipes Too?! :yahoo:
I took the stock pipes to a local powdercoater/heat coating place I'd done business with before on my other bike. I forget now what he charged, but yes I had them heatcoated black "just because"; I have a set of the Gerauld tips in grey and love the look.

Whenever I get around to building a custom aux tank, I'll powdercoat that black also. Just put the black 3M reflective tape on it here and there and it lights up good at night also.

I'd like to do my swingarm and rear drive + all associated parts but don't want to disassemble to have it done...

+1, Gunny; that does look good Jorge, but when we ride to Cabo San Lucas you will have to put black electrical tape over those blue stripes on your rims.

The Beltran Cartel will cut your head off if you ride into Old Mexico with those blue striped rims, trust Old Michael and Papa Chuy on this - Es Muy Peligro!
We'll work something out Don...wouldn't want to get my head cut off south of the border! ;)

How's 'bout a black STen -- red accents with red striped rims? :)

That's got Loxahachee "closing time" written all over it!
Maybe in the 80's Scotty. I've heard all sorts of stories from back then. But, things have changed Brother!! The Loxahatchee residents from back then are long gone. Don't get me wrong! There's still a few of them left but, very few! Now, the population here has exploded with Normal People!! You know...... People who didn't marry their first Cousins!! I got here in '97. Had to send my son to Wellington High School. Now we have our own 3000 student High School in town and Civilization has arrived! You wouldn't recognize this place now. Beautiful Women all over the place. I'm like a kid in a candy store. You still have family here? Give me a Holla if you're ever in town. :)

I'm just messing... I used to pick on an old GF would lived out off Beeline about driving the air boat to school.

Yes my Mother is up in Hobe Sound, and sister in up in Port St Lucie, and you right.. I don't recognize the place anymore some of the change is good.. Some not so much.

I'm planning to take my daughter down this summer (which will mean a fly not a ride event

). I'll be sure to shout out and buy you a beverage if your schedule permits

You forgot to mention that I was unconscious!! Let's keep the facts straight!! Not my fault you Jackles!!

Well, I've carefully read every post, documented all the fastest colors, know to avoid Mexico, never associate with a GEN II'er, and never trust a red-head with 5 o'clock shadow. But, alas, I'm still no closer to knowing the right move. Maybe I'll have an epiphany this weekend on my 4 day trip to the Texas Hill Country. Whoohoo....

Thanks for all the comments. pictures and entertainment!

    Cop, you can blame all of this on HotRodZilla and ScottyUSN.

Zilla has an unatural obsession to big Dildos and eating Chocolate Fudge with Spoons for some reason or another.

And ScottyUSN has a thing from his youth for Redheads with Adams Apples. :p Don't blame me for any of this! I don't know Nuttin' :p

Well what do you expect from a bunch of tail pipe sniffers? You want to know if an oh nine is practical in Texas?

I'd say as long as it ain't against the law to hose it off once in awhile you are good to go.

53 posts and it boiled down to the only post needed! This Man is a Freakin' Poet Right Here! :)

Ok, going back to Sniffing the Pipes Again!

I've got the cure! Just do like I am and paint your 04 black. the black plastics are a nice contrast to the silver on the frame and the wheels.
You WILL be posting pics of the finished job .... huh? :)

Oh, I will. I drop the parts off Friday and should have them back in a week. Once its all back together, I'll post up.

As much as I hate to admit it those 8 years of schoolin have come in handy a time or too. ;)

Just got back from test riding a 2012 FJR & Super Tenere. And just for putting me through this hell Yamaha is sending me a free pair of Oakley sunglasses. :yahoo:

I liked the new FJR fine but I just can't see dropping an additional $8K plus on a GenII over my Gen I. That's not even counting the cost of adding all the right 'stuff' back onto the Gen II. I'll just have to wait another year and see what Yamaha throws out there to suck me back in.

BTW, the Super Tenere was a HOOT to ride. Completely different bike than the FJR for sure. More of an 'in addition to' than a 'instead of' bike. Torque and seating position we great. Wind protection was better than expected. Turn in and maneuverability were first rate. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.

my '09 is just fine here in the high desert... just go really fast, and the heat ain't nothing...
