Glad you are still with us my friend. The world would be a lot less..........well ****, I don't know, it would be a lot less something without you in it.
Don't be doing anything silly now...........at least not until I get my burnt New Yorker!

Posts, the word your looking for is POSTS!

:D :D :D

Did you get a chance to give her the finger???
No way. I don't even think I had time to blink.
hm....still want an in depth study on your underpants. :glare:
I'm sure he earned himself a new "racing stripe" on his Hanes.....or is it time for a new set?? :(

Glad your ok :yahoo:

Keep seeing m/c fatalities in the news, wondering if I might be next! Probably why the fjr sits in the garage and I spend more time on the golf course. Probably gotta better chance of being nixxed on the golf course by a 80 year old grandma with a bad slice than a swf with a cell phone applying mascara! :glare:

Be safe,

Bryce

Be safe out there guys. The Reaper is a mere blink away.
This is no good, mang.... :(

We can't be having you get all busted up......

One's "uh-ohmeter" are almost always correct, so yeah, please listen to it better next go round.

Glad you're still among us....

Well, I'm not gonna give advice on whether or not to tell your wife, but I'm certainly not sayin' anything about it on this end.

I need to move my line further outboard from the centerline on lefthanders.
Been doin' that myself for quite some time now. If I get out of the right side tire track, I've blown my line. Don't go as fast but I have just as much fun and it's safer. Highly recommended.
Glad you're still with us. Friday's beer is gonna be just a little sweeter now. Just try not to rehash the story at the table, 'k?

Said the man who is owed a sit down from yours truly. Ahem. :winkwithawaggingfingersmiley:

I assure you, the steak will be ready when you arrive. No doubt about it.

Clorox. Works wonders.

As I start my turn, I heard the unmistakable scream of tortured tires trying to hold a line coming toward me and then, BAM! There’s an M-Class Mercedes pushing its way around the corner and using better than one third of my lane to accomplish it! Being leaned over, my head is in line with the 3 pointed star centered on the hood. The female driver’s eyes are as big as baseballs. I think, ‘I’m dead.’ What happens next is not in context with my rationale. I should be dead, if not, mightily busted up. Instead, I'm sitting on the ground of a dirt pull-out, just up the road.
So, did she come over and apologize as soon as she hung up the phone?

Glad you made it through that. Seems like if you had to think about pushing on either bar at either instant things would not have worked out so well. Lizard brain good.

I freaking hate cagers that can't keep it in their lane. I mean I really hate them.

Believe what you want, what truly saved ya was knowing deep down that I woulda been goin' through your pockets at the hospital to grab the cash for drinks on Fri night. Nobody stands up the rad on a date. Nobody.

Glad though you'll be grabbin yer wallet yerself......:lameasswinkeysimilie:

Not much to add except my +1 more to the glad you are still around club.

I have been thinking of track days and giving up back street driving. Highway will always be part of my daily routine but the back roads have so many variables.

Again, glad you came out ok.

So there I was, wearing my blonde wig and gunning my tricked-out Mercedes SUV up the road.

I had timed it perfectly, I knew Mr Nut would whizz around that corner in a half second...and there he was

dead center in my Benz sights! This time you're toast, TWN --- I yelled.

Well, you know the rest....I missed him. I had to pull over a mile down the road and weep for a while....

Next time, I'm thinkin', a heat-seeking missile will do the job...

Stef

PS: Believe it or not, bro, I've taken you seriously. Glad you're still around and a wee bit wiser, too...

Thanks for sharing TWN, I think we all learn from what people write about their experiences, I felt like I was on the ride with you and like you said, it is in my memory bank now so when I take the blind curves I will take them a little wider than before....glad you are OK.

That shows some character to post up that experience as it happened. Too many people would have let the embarrassment keep them from sharing the experience. But mostly, I'm glad that you're still with us. You're story had a lot of similarities with many of my rides (aside from the car over the centerline thing), so it's stories like yours that I try to keep in mind so that I don't post any of my own, though sometimes I do a better job of that than others. Be careful out there. It's nice having you around.

One digit up!

Glad you and your FJR are intact. When I got back into riding I read Houghs Proficient Motorcycling books. Those books helped keep me out of trouble. I live in the country and they all are twisty roads. One near me has a tight turn that could be taken at 45, but around the blind turn is a side road. Cook that turn you might have the whole road blocked by a left turning car. Houghs says stay away from the center line. MadMike2 is right site lines then take the corner. Ride Safe! TJ
