I got a hummer on my NAFO SS1k

So Eeksnake & I are heading south just out of Gunnison, starting up into yet another range of mountains & incredible scenery. Suddenly, I catch a glimpse of movement out of my left peripheral, and see a cute little hummingbird dart out from the side of the road. In the instant before its untimely demise, it hovered in the air, right in the space that my left headlight was about to occupy. RIP, little hummer. :rip_1:

Summer Hummer Bummer?

Dang! I guess you could call that a hummer bummer.

Years ago, I got a hummer. It flew right into my faceshield as I was getting up to speed from a gas stop. I quickly pulled off the road because I couldn't see a damn thing for all the blood and guts.

My friend said he almost crashed, he was laughing so hard at the sudden explosion of feathers that seemingly came out of my helmet.

funny how any number of kills is just business as usual, but nail a hummer and you feel bad.

If it's any consolation, humming birds are extremely aggressive, and routinely kill folks in New Zealand and Africa.

Congrats on your perseverance with the SS. 11 minutes shy of 0500 is still a kosher thing.<G>

It's those darn Africanized honey bees hummingbirds don'tcha know. The hummdingers got tired of having their butts kicked by large spider webs and praying mantis, enrolled in a martial darts program and went wild.
