Damn it Scab, quit it! I'm glad you and BB are okay at least. I'm just up the road if you need anything.

She rode it home. After we got home, she told me I could sell it if I wanted to. She's beating herself up but she really doesn't want to give it up.

Really, she's doing quite well. Just a few little mistakes that need some work. It's just the same ole stuff we all did when we were learning. It's just that most of had the luxury of going through this learning curve on some ragged rat bike when we were 12 or 13.

We had the pep talk and she's not giving up. She's just frustrated that she is not mastering riding as quickly as other things that she has attempted. With most things in life, she can just watch someone do something and then do it herself. Motorcycling has not come quite that easily. And somewhere in there lies part of the reward.

But, I really have no doubts in her ability to master this. She'll win.

Good for both of yah Scab. I'ts very evident you both love each other very much. :yahoo:

Awww, she just wanted to be close to you.... Really close... and she couldn't wait until you dismounted...

Your insurance company is re-thinking your premium as we speak!

Always ride sweep.
There was a guy who showed up in Park City who had just been rear-ended by his wife, for the third time!

Doesn't this make your third down? I'll be back in a cage before that happens....
Yeah, Bob I was thinking about that guy. After he got rear ended by his wife, then I saw him get tapped in a parking lot by an SUV. Of couse Mrs. Scab may have a record of sorts- her bike, hubbies bike and friends' car. With my insurance policies, that could be as much as $3K in damage! I bet that cluch never slips again. Mr. Scab sure is one cool cucumber. I might have mutter a swear word or two under my breath and know a few guys who would have let the vocabulary fly. Bravo to you, Scab. Get better.

Hell, I ain't telling them! Nope, this will be coming out of the pocket!

I already scored some after-market, imported, counterfeit, non-OEM, wanna-be mirrors for $20 off Fleabay!

I didn't like that wind screen anyway.

The tank can wait till she gets to riding better. Hell, it ain't leaking.

I haven't found the headlight assembly yet. But, I will.

Oh, and I originally forgot: The front brake lever looks like a pretzel. But, after-market levers are cheap.

Damn dude!

You DO realize that you your sole purpose in life is NOT to provide the forum it's entertainment. You CAN let somebody else do that every once in a while.

Glad you are both ok.

I am sure my g/f will not enjoy reading about this, although I will make her. She too, has a Vulcan 500 (used 2001 which already had a few scars from being dropped so she wouldn't feel so bad when she did it-which she has  ) which we bought a few months back and as of last weekend she has ridden about 400 miles. We'll try to learn from youse all mistakes and NOT go for a repeat.

It's funny you should mention the $3k figure. That is exactly what my friend wanted for the damage to his car. But, screw that. It'll be fine just like it is. Hell, it ain't my car.

Glad you are both OK. I thought you were teaching her what not to do! Maybe she is unhappy with you and her insurance plans? ;)

"Crash-king wanna-be"

Well, Your well on your way already.

That's the Scab I know........ :yahoo:

Least your head aint hurt........yet

Sheesh! Man, you are not having very much luck on two wheels! Sorry for the crunched bikes, but glad you're both okay.

Now, take a tip from Mrs. Nut: "It's better on the back of a Gold Wing." I'm jus' sayin'.

When are you gonna teach her how to properly execute a high-side?

Ummmmm, we all know you have truly earned it, but do you think changing your profile name could bring a change of luck?

Glad to hear that you are both going to be okay. I'm happy she is still riding, sometimes the incidents that should be filed under '**** happens' get to be bigger than they are.

Hittin the 70's yest, I got the wife on the back for a 2 hour ride (length of the movie for the kids).

Put her back on the back....

Did you remember to check her tire pressure before you went out? :D

Glad neither of you were seriously hurt. My wife started riding a Honda Rebel during the summer, I spend so much time looking in the rear view mirror to see if she is OK, I'll eventually run into something.......
