I made it home, but it took me awhile, I got lost...again.....lol
Burk did an excellent job it was fun, looking forward to the next time we all get together. Great weekends make Monday suck for some reason.
+1

This Monday doesn't suck though. For the first time in my life, I have called in to work, for a mental health day. There was just no way that I could get up at four thirty, walk the dog, pack a lunch (which would have involved a trip to the store) then work a 12hr shift. Not sure I'd even want to sit on a bike for the commute, until I've got some circulation back!

I'm spending a day at home, with the puppy who REALLY, REALLY missed us, according to his greeting last night.

I too have the day off so I am going to relax and spend time with my cats who didn't give a sh*t I was gone...

I made it home last night about 6:30. Didn't even turn the computer on. I was going to ***** about the 104F temp... but 122! That sucks. I rode down with the Tucson crew (Peggy, Joe and Gregory) to just past Payton. Then I split off towards Globe. First time I had seen the Roosevelt dam and bridge. Cool. Then I got behind an RV doing half the limit on a big empty road with two yellow stips. Now I see why you AZ folks don't pass on the solid yellow. $263. Ouch! (See pinhead, you should have let her come home with me!) Any body want to go to traffic school with me? At least he didn't get me for speeding, not that I ever speed..... Nicest cop I ever got a ticket from. I bet we BSed for an hour about bikes and guns.

Thanks Burke for putting that together. I had a BLAST! And very nice to meet you guys and gals. I would love to ride up with you guys to scout out Taos for next year. Just let me know what I can do to help.

Thanks agian to all - Ride Safe!

Are you kidding? I used to rarely pass on a double yellow until a certain distinguished forum member from Chandler ARIZONA pulled me aside and said "Pinhead, ya' know it's only paint. You can ride right over it."

$263. Ouch!
Ouch is right. That's going to leave a mark.

Many big thanks to Badcat Burk for fantastic Southwestern FJR Owners Group Meeting 2009. Mas caminos y mas amigos!!!!!
+1 Fantastic

Left Page at 9:00 - 2 hours @ some old huts in nat. park, flagstaff, sedona, jerome, prescott, quartszite, yuma and could not go any further and ended up in hell which is called brawley ca = 13.5 hours. I have no idea how many miles but those twisties took a long time but well worth it.

Nice meeting everyone. A bunch of great individuals.

Have not heard from Niehart yet, so one would have to assume he is out in Utah "camping" with Old Michael in one man tent!!

A BIG THANKS to Bad Cat for an outstanding SW-FOG. I am back in Minkler, CA, no encounters with the CHP or other spoil sports. Short ride Sunday to Mesquite, NV via Zion. WOW was that a trip. Some guy with a large Pickup got scared in the tunnel and stopped it up. Line of cars on the East side was over 3 miles long before the NPS got him out. The Park was the most crowded that I have ever seen.

After being "burned" in the Las Vegas traffic and construction on the way to SW-FOG I blew out of Mesquite at 0530 running at 0.65 of potential throttle and got through Vegas with no problem. Didn't see any California border sign, but the crappy road condition told me I was back in the State. All good until Bakersfield when it turned hot. Home by 1300 and time to cool off.

Great trip, great times. It really is amazing how it seems that only good people associate with FJR's.
