Lake Havasu or Bullhead?? You must be glutton for punishment!

Actually, the heat is not that bad at all, either stay in the water or stay indoors. Or better yet, go on a multitude of forum organized rides that take you into the high country where it's cool.

Kingman seldom gets much above 100 or so.

New Mexico sounds good to me. What are the tempetures like in the summer?? I been through there once and I think because of the altitude temps are pretty good, but thought I would ask!

If I remember correctly, 122 is the MAX temperature the readout will show, so it could have been HOTTER!

I wish i could have been there!
I WILL be at next years rally as i will be living in Arizona then. :)

Another desert rat, cool Blue, what part of AZ you gonna be in??
It's looking like Kingman right now... maybe LHC/BHC
Congratulations on becoming a Zonie, Galaxy Blue. My vacation home is at The Islander Resort at Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Let us know when you hit town, my 6th motorcycle is actually Boston Whaler power boat. Grab beer and show you the lake!
Oh, Hell yeah!

I would love it!

I made it home Yesterday at 1pm, with plenty of time to get to the golf course to play in my Tuesday league game. :)

My ride home had me on a side trip to Twin Fall, ID to get a new rear tire on Monday. I had measured the tread depth prior to leaving home and it looked good for the entire trip. I thought I would be returning home well into the wear bars, but not into the cords. By the time I got to Ely on the ride homeward, the tire was worn through the tread and down to the rubber surrounding the cords. It is a bit darker in color. This was on half of the tire and the other half was just to the wear bars. I had measured every wear bar prior to leaving and I had 2.25 mm of tread, measured to the wear bars. I had used up 3.75 mm in the previous 4600 miles. I calculated that to mean that I was getting 1200 miles per 1 mm. With 2.25 uniformly around the tire, I should have gotten 2,700 miles to the wear bars. Didn't happen that way. Total Trip was 2788 miles. Tire was history at Ely, with only 2,000 miles on it. It never got to the cords but it was in the darker rubber for at least 1/4 of the tire.

Short ride Sunday to Mesquite, NV via Zion. WOW was that a trip. Some guy with a large Pickup got scared in the tunnel and stopped it up. Line of cars on the East side was over 3 miles long before the NPS got him out. The Park was the most crowded that I have ever seen.
Longrider,

We left Page at 6:30 and made it to Zion early. We cruised through without one stop, not even a stop at the tunnel. You have to do National Parks before 10am. Just a hint.

Lake Havasu COOLED OFF STAY THANK GOD by about 20 degrees. Look forward to meeting you Galaxy Blue. As I mentioned before FJR Chris and I went for a great ride a few weeks ago. Now that you will be coming this way that makes more FJR's in Havasu. FJR Chris is fun to ride with. You never know what you will see next.

I are home now too!

Spent a few more days exploring the southwest, and rode from Las Vegas (through Tonopah) to Sacramento today.

It's COLD in Nevada. I think my *** is chapped.

I'll put together a nifty ride report in the next few days. (I see none of you *******s has seen fit to get one done!)

Here are a few of the thousand or so pics I got.

More later.

Glad that you are home safe and sound Old Michael. There are lots of pictures abounding under the SW-FOG header here at our FJR Forum. Lots of people responding under Niehart's Bar 106 thread. Did you know Dr. Rich is riding to Las Vegas??
