Well, I guess I misjudged how long my first set of PR2's would last. We've rode almost 4k miles getting to NAFO. The front is still in good shape, but the rear should probably be replaced before my wife and I head for home Sunday morning. The kicker is I have a brand new set of PR2's and a BT021 rear with 120 miles on it, all hanging in my garage at home.

By chance would anybody in the Denver area be willing to front me a PR2 or BT021 rear tire to get home, then I could ship you one of the ones I have at home? We just arrived at my brother's place in Aurora and will be here for the night before moving to the NAFO hotel in Golden tomorrow afternoon. If you can help out PM me and I'll send you my cell number so we can talk.

TIA B)

I've got a BT020 front and rear that just came off of my wifes bike after 4350 miles. The rear might have 1000 miles left in it.

I also have all of the tools to change the tires if that might help. I'm in Longmont.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure 1000 would do it, it's almost 1300 home, plus any more riding we do before heading home. If it comes to it I'll just have to purchase a new one here in town. The way I go through tires it's not a problem.

Hmm, while that would be doable (neighbors have the key) I hate to think what overnight shipping would be. Might be about the same as a new tire. Besides, aren't you supposed to be down here??

G, you been in the bar too long or something (wish I was there with you). It's Bigjohn's wife's BT020 that only got 4000 miles on it. My PR2 has about 10,000 on it (I think...details are at home with the other set). This one went on right after WORD! and then did the 1088, the Volcano Run, misc trips to the liquor store, then almost 4000 miles on the trip to get here. It's hard to tell on this tire how much tread is left down the middle. I figure I'll have the experts examine it tomorrow. Maybe if it's almost gone we could do a nice long smokey burnout to finish it off. That ought to impress the hotel staff.
