I'm helping a friend with a throttle sync on a neglected 2004 fjr using my Motion Pro sync tool. The problem is that I'm unsure number 3 cylinder is set 'correctly', in other words, the ajustment screw seems to be way too far in, only about 1/2 turn from bottomed out. I know I only have to worry about matching the cylinders, but even with number 2 adjusted all the way in it still isn't quite there. So I want to start over, resetting #3 to a point where I have enough adjustment on the others to do the sync.
Is there a suggested starting point for #3, like screw all the way in and then open the typical 1.5 turns?
