Okierider....my condolences at your loss. I lost my mom suddenly in April 2007, and my dad this past July.

After mom passed, dad slipped into a dementia, broke his hip last January, was diagnosed with acute leukemia last June. Thru all that, I was his primary caregiver.

Being the last survivor is tough, and I sooo relate to your lonely and empty feeling. This Christmas was my 1st one as an orphan, and even tho I have kids of my own, the traditions were my mom and dad's. Just wasn't the same here this year, and never will be again.

Prayers sent, take care of yourself and take time to grieve.
Dang Barb, I lost my Mom suddenly in Feb. of 07, and Dad passed away 3 days after fathers day 08. I'm still tryin' hard as hell ta get my **** together...

I wish I knew ya better...

And I know I shouldn't hi-jack a thread, but Okierider's a brother....I think he's OK with it...

God bless you in your time of sorrow. I'm 80 miles away; phone me for whatever help you need. phil

Thanks all of you!!
I've come to expect nothing less from you folks.

You never fail to run not walk to the aid of those in need!!!

I might should have added that my brother lived in Coos Bay OR.

I just got off the phone with the hospital there and my niece (his only child).

It was definitely a heart attack. My niece is completly locked up and broken down. My niece lives in Medford.

It looks like the a trip to Oregon is in my very near future and funeral arrangements are falling square on my shoulders.

Thanks again everyone...God Bless!!!!

Robert
Okie,

Condolences to you, Brother! Small world - I live in Medford. If there's anything I can do from here, let me know. I'm PM'ing you with my cell number.

Robert,

When your mind is clear, come on down to Houston for some great riding in East Texas. Mi casa es su casa. Just PM me.

Lost my dad 2 years ago, and Mom is not far behind. Both Alzheimers.

You have a lot of brothers and sisters here. We are all with you.

No such thing as a good time to lose someone you love, but as others have said, let them live on in your memory. I've haven't met another forum member yet, but you can feel the love. I feel your pain and empathize with you. It doesn't seem like it at the time, but this too shall pass. Best of luck to you.

I'm so sorry to read this Robert. I hope going to OR and seeing your extended family gives you some peace.

Please take care and let us know when you get back.

M~

okierider you have my deepest sympathies and we will keep you in our prayers. At 67, almost 68 I am the youngest of four and have not suffered the type of loss you have. Therefore I cannot imagine the depth of your loss. Once you get past this I would like to suggest that you get checked out for heart disease as it tends to run in families. Both my parents had problems and I had a heart attack at 38 and I am still going strong 29 years later. If you have a wife and or kids they will be happy that you are taking care of yourself, trust me I know. It can usually be managed if you identify it early enough. God Bless and take care.

I never knew what family was until I found Jesus. The stories of my earthly family would make your head spin!

God bless,

Murph

Good thoughts and prayers coming at you from the Windy City, Robert. Hopefully you had some great times and have some great memories of your immediate family. Be strong, especially for your nieces sake, and let us know if we can do anything to help.

Robert: We have a lot of FJR riders in this area just aching for a reason to ride. Let thr Forum know when you're in Medford. After the service, perhaps some we could arrange a Ride-to-Eat in Medford and meet you.
