If the tow company dropped the bike, then there insurance should pay to fix it.

Thing w/ going w/ that link that you gave me 2006fjr, is that my insurance wants the damaged bag sent to them.
Buy a damaged bag the same color from someone and send it to your insurance company.

affraid if the scrathes don't match or somethin they would say some crap like insurance fraud. and yeah, the insurance company is going after the towing company to pay for the damages and to get my deductible back and eveyrhting... thing is.. the exhaust was messed up too, and the place quoted it at like 800 and some change to replace the stock exhaust. Might as well get an aftermarket for around the same price or cheaper.. ya know...

I'm haveing a hard time finding a brand new case though

Send them back the damaged case so there is no fraud and buy a damaged case to have repaired. When I got a new case under warranty from the dealer they told me it was $650. I would much rather put that money in my pocket. Get a brand new or used exhaust and I love those Remus Hex's.

Just buy a new bag and send them the old bag and the bill. If it's a stock exhaust you need, so the same for that.

There's no 'budget' for the repair - tell them to replace the parts or to pay you for the replacements. It's their choice, after all, THEY dropped the bike. Either way they have to repair your baby to the way it was before they damaged it.

What's the problem?

I have a like new left OEM exhaust and a slightly dented right one. You can have one or both for the cost of shipping.

i'm lookin to get a new aftermarket exhaust though. For them to replace the stock one is like 800 some bucks. So an aftermarket one i'm lookin for. And i'll jus keep on looking for the saddle bag. I'll either buy a used one and get it fixed, or i'll jus find a new one for the cheapest i can. I'm getting like a 2g check soon.

what are some reccomendation for some aftermarket side cases? I take it there is nothing out there that would fit in the same spot as the stock ones? all aftermarket cases need aftermarket brackets right?

Haha. jus my luck. i found a damaged case on ebay. BUT, it is damaged on the inside. LIke, not the piece that flips down, but the other part.. LoL.. sucks. Then someone is selling 2 brand new cases, but they are grey. I asked him if he don't sell them as a pair if i could by one off him. Wish me luck.. :(

There are only two alternatives that I know of for aftermarket cases, Givi and Shad, both require their proprietary mounting brackets, but don't look too bad. Not as clean as the stock mounting points, but moot if you are a rider that leaves the bags on all the time.

The Givi gives you some options on sizes, I don't think the Shad does, but I may be wrong.

Does anyone in the group have photos or seen photos of the Givi sidecases mounted on their FJR?
