Where's the choice of Cerulean Silver?
Paging Attorney at Law SkooterG, calling Barrister GreggieM to the Bench: Bubba, when I left you, GSJane, GOPRANDY, Gary Russak and the rest at BMW of Scottsdale Monday night I got popped by photo radar at Loop 101 and Highway 60.

Will you work for La Comida Mexicana to get me off of this crooked rap? Dirty *******s have me clocked at 67 in 55 zone dreaming about Alaska. After Alaska Tours movies and slide shows, twas daydreaming and didn't pick up on speed change!

Don't worry. You're so ugly you probably broke the camera. And yo....alzheimers-boy, I do believe you posted this off-topic whine in the wrong thread.

Just out of curiosity, why did they have my Harley and my picture wearing my straw duster on your speed moving violation?

Happy Trails ships fast and my doohickey arrives tomorrow...
Wait... you still have to do the doohickey fix to the new KLRs? I thought they fixed that in the new gen.
Fred W: Kawasaki improved the balance idler shaft lever on 2008 models, but not enough to keep them from failing offroad!
But..., but.. -- they've only been making KLRs for 25 years...

...having your doohickey changed gives a wonderful sense of accomplishment and inclusion... :p
<snip>...Is your bike a boy or a girl? All my bikes ...have been girls, (names)...You may want to consider "El Poderoso Diablo" if your KLR's a boy or "La Poderosa Diabla" if it's a girl.
I think much of the above falls into a KLR/lore -- KLR-ism, kitschy, folk-wisdom sort'a reality that swirls in and around the KLR community?

(I mean the above in the nicest socio/psycho kind'a way...) :)

When it come time for tires, a wise man once told me.

"Stay away from Michelin PRII's. They are **** off-road"

Enjoy the hell out of it.

Just keep it shiny parts up.

I just spit on the keyboard laughing! Me a wise man. we are in trouble now.... Everybody knows Azaros are much better, except when riding on the playa...

All I can guarantee is I will drop it sometime(s)...

And I intend to enjoy my new adventures! I already am planning ride routes with an expperienced rider in Grants Pass who comes to visit relatives in Roseburg on his KLR.

Just another jealous wannabe wishing you had a doohickey to put in, thus feeling the warmth of inclusion in our club of gazilllions? Get a KLR and feel the need....

I have to get up for work in two hours. Work is eating into my research time on KLR's and FJR farkles... grrr

Now I learn most GenII KLR's leak some oil from the oil filter cover (WTF? No spin on oil filter???!!! It is 2009 Kawasaki). At least the fix is to get a proper sized o-ring that is on back order.

And the 08-09 models often have a tick from something called a KACR... which some say means nothing but an anoyance. There is disagreement from at least one 2008 owner who's engine imploded when the KACR broke apart.

And two recalls already. Not to mention heavy loads can break the subframe bolts... I'm a heavy load

These things are starting to sound like GENII FJR's  ;)
