First of all, I'm sorry you took my post as questioning your honesty, that certainly was not my intent. I've a feeling the English English and American English might put a different emphasis on my words, so my apologies.
I apologize for thinking so poorly of a forum member who has always been nothing but helpful and friendly.

The asphalt here in north Texas is coarse rather than a fine, small particle mix. Probably less expensive. Very grippy, but hell on rubber. I don't push hard on the street, but I never see the mileages some report. The initial issue BT-023s went 6300 miles, with a cupped front and squared-off rear. I run 40 front and 42 rear. Pirelli Angels on now, with the front starting to show some cupping at 3500 miles. Rear is squaring off some, too. Makes the darkside look inviting😈. The compromise between mileage, dry and wet grip, and cost is a bitch, but I see no compelling solution. I like everything about the ES, so I'll keep riding and crying about tires on this heavy but nimble bike. I'll try some T30s next, most likely. My dream tire would last me 10K miles on the rear and one front tire to two rears, with good wet grip. I know, that's why they call it a dream. 😀
