Two thumbs up; thanks for sharing
I've seen demonstrations of both the Hornet and the Super Hornet. They both rock, and the Super Hornet has some extra special mojo compared to the Hornet, for sure. And yet..... they are Wright Flyers against the F-22 show!!!!..... Our show always has and F-18 ......
That would have been incredible to see the crowd react! I saw a video a week or so ago somewhere of the Blue Angels doing a few of their maneuvers over Main Street at Disney World, passing over the castle, which brings up a similar feel of "Holy crap!!! Look at that!!!! What are THEY doing here???!?!"Sidebar - one year for the air show, our University played a home football game on the Saturday night between shows. We arranged for a low altitude fly over the stadium timed with the national anthem by two of the thunderbirds. Everything was kept super quiet and it made the crowd go NUTS!!!! It was pretty cool.
I just looked at their web site, and see the Quick Silver Mustang and the Mig-17 that were here. I much prefer the Blue Angels over the Thunderbirds, too. They fly tighter, and they do some things the T-birds don't, especially the solo takeoffs! We had a B-1 on static display, but it looks like they've got a flying one. Don't leave your earplugs on the bike!!!! His last pass is a thing of wonder!! And that Shock Wave truck is a beast!!!I was thinking about going to the Barksdale AFB show this year. I think you have just sealed the deal! Cue Kenny Loggins - I'm going into the Danger Zone!!
