I had a great time following Kaitsdad around for close to 1k miles at the NAFO. Already looking forward to knocking some more Iron Butt miles next year. Too late for the LOE 1k, which looked to be a real hoot.

I'm just a bit curious about something. About 1/2 of the NAFO IB riders were virgins, including yours truly. Great first time out. Got my membership number (30980) and all the other kewl stuff at the banquet.

So about a month ago I checked the list and I was not listed as a member at the site. I think it was last updated in May 2008. I checked again this week and things were the same. Can view the forum, but cannot post. Tried to buy some swag at the IBA store to no avail.

Have any of you recently (NAFO) 'deflowered' folk had similar experience? Anyone been able to buy swag or post?

I did send an e-mail to the store and received a notice of receipt a couple of days ago, with a promise to get back to me.

Not a big deal. Kind of like waiting for that farkle via UPS :yahoo:

I'm thinking most everything goes through Mr. Kneebone, who I'm sure is busy as a cat covering scat on a tin roof...

Most common way to get this addressed is to post in this thread. Ira usually fixes things pretty quickly.

You can still sign up for the forum. Once you do, possibly see this thread and shoot Ira a PM to have some extra privileges added.

As for updating their website on a periodic basis, it does state "approximately 60 days behind" and this time of year they're flooded with requests so it's probably longer. I wouldn't try and push that one.

You got the e-mail and a number....you're in. No "sorta" about that. ;)

Signed up for the forum last year and listed as Future Member status. I went to the suggested thread and requested Ira change my status. Thanks to both of you for the tip.

Are you sure its too late to sign up for the LOE1000? You should email them (email located on their website) and ask. I signed up a little over a week ago, so you might still be able to get in. Just email the rally master Jeff and ask. The hard part will be getting a hotel room for the rally. I'm not staying at the start hotel, but across the street at another one.

It's a bit late for me anyways  I've been sick with crud for about a week and missed some work, so not a real good idea to jerk the boss's tail. But I did read that it was filling up - think there were about 158 riders registered and I thought I saw 9/9 as the deadline. If I would have realized (my bad!) this was happening I would have registered. Lots of nice people going to be there.

I'll have to keep it in mind for next year.

Sorry to hear about you missing this one Bob. I've heard from several folks that this is one of their favs.

I'm sure we'll see you there next year.

Wow, looks like I got in right at the end then. I got my entry in on the 8th!

There's always next year, so don't even worry about it!
