IBR - Iggy and Doug C Sighting

Call me a stalker if you want, but, I was following Doug/Iggy on Star-traxx and, from info I saw on Iggy's blog, I saw they were heading towards York, PA. I jumped on my bike and headed down to York and hung out on the path I thought they would be following. As I was sitting at a convenience store, I saw 3 sets of bright lights coming at me. When I saw 2 FJRs, I figured it was Matt and Doug. They also had John Langan in tow on his wing. I followed them to a bonus location at a guys house in York where they had to get a picture of a particular sticker on a patrol car (those rally bastards are tricky...gotta read the fine print).

We had a little chat and they, and their bikes, are doing good, but, they'll need Smitty's help in St Louis to do some tire/wheel changes (sorry for getting you out of bed, Smitty). We left York at about 11 pm and started heading north. They peeled off to I76 where they were going to get a couple more hours of riding in before calling it a day. Good chance they'll end up at the same rest spot where they were on the first night in Somerset, PA.

That was a surreal moment.....

I'm sitting at this light in town I've never been to after riding all day...for the fourth day.....and I hear this voice in my left ear. I have been hearing voices for several days, but they have been more-or-less in the center of my head. Listening to NPR I thought Bob Edwards was speaking to me saying, "Hi, I'm Randy...from the Forum."

Very cool...and nice to meet you Randy. Sorry we were short, but it's still a long ride back to St. Louis. We have 650+ miles tomorrow to make it back ideally about 4 or 5 p.m.

That is one popular bonus this summer! I think that is the 3rd LD Rally to make that Bonus location. I rode the BITE rally in July this year and I think that bonus was on damn near every route sheet on every leg. And I pray they did read the small print. The owner of the car is somewhat well know for being a prankster with the riders.
