IE question

I have been having probs with the net, so I reset all my defaults in IE 7 (security, cookies, etc). In doing so I fixed one prob and have created another. Now I can access appox 70 % of my fav menu, but the other 30 I get an error message of not found (ie Dogpile, chase visa, etc). even my own web site. I have gone back in and told to accept cookies. Even on the forum some avitars and posted pics will not show.

If I click on it several times it MAY find a site eventually, others are still not showing up. I've done what I know to do. ideas?

IE 7? :blink: All hope is lost. The name goes on before the quality goes in. The best way to fix IE 7 is to reinstall IE 6.x and accept the security issues that come with it. IMO. You have already acknowledged the final solution

I know, ditch it and get firefox

'beam is right. After the SO let the IE7 auto download (bless her wittle heart), I had to dump it and go back to 6. But, on 'beam's, rad's, WC's and Iggy's advise I've been using ff2 since and it's been a much better web experience since. Hell, it's even cleared up that rash that I picked up in Reno.

Thank goodnes I have a Mac! But I also have a Dell and I made the mistake of updating to IE 7.0. I'd love to get 6.0 back, not even after I deleted IE7.0, it did not go away. How do I get 6.0 back???

It should still be there after you uninstalled 7. If not, go to the MS download site and get it from there. I think 6 is still up...

Fjrfencer, You may want to look at this site for some resolutions https://comunidades.msn.es/CommunityFeedback/tipstricks.msnw, in the meantime, you can install Firefox 1509 or 2001 until you can works things out. I use both browsers with no problems even at the same time for different situations.

+1 for Firefox & Thunderbird (or Mozilla). Way less security issues, don't have to wait 3-4-5-6-7 months for a M$ patch when a vulnerability is found ...
