Sorry Sin on the rap to the hand (it was a little funny) and thanks agian for hanging out for the repair. As far as rides..I plan on staying in touch withnthe FJR group and will tag along on rides whenever possible. I think another FJR is in my future, I do like the new ride and its kinda of get back to where I started. About 30 years ago I rode a Honda XL 250 everywhere and anytime. I think I missed some of the offroad times. The new bike is cool and does perform fine on the road, but it can capture the feeling you get in the twisties at 70+.

As for room on the back for MamaKathy, not necesssary. I got her the 2010 F650 GS. I'll go outside and snap a picture in front of the house of both bikes for you all to see. Getting new stuff is neat. With the two bikes you can see why I had to part with the FJR. Needed the trade in $$ and insurance for all three would have made the budget tighter then I wanted. There will come a day when I have 5 or so bikes in the garage. I know all you guys have a wish list like I do!

Hey Wetdog,

Congrats on the new bikes!

I have been drooling over a GS for months. But there is now way I'm trading in the FJR! I will just have to wait until I can save up some $. I think the F800GS is the best looking of all of the GS bikes. But I like the bright orange.

Have fun on that thing and bring it to SWFOG next year. Better yet, make it to Death Valley in Jan 22-24th. I really wish I could get a GS by then to see some of the cooler parts of the park that require dirt roads. But I'll probably be on the FJR....

Later,

DK

OK Wetdog,

You have had it long enough to get some action photos.

MORE PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally got mine too. 1200GS Adventure. It has been colder than a witches twitt down here (cold is a relative term. 48F for the high 22f low is cold for me.) Only 200 miles so far. The Gerbing's electric clothes get here Tuesday. So maybe I can get a few miles on her before going to Death Valley.

Wetdog, are you going to DVDs on the new beemer?

DK
