**Son of a bitch, this is what happens when you accidentally push enter before finishing your post! You get a half sub title! It was supposed to read, "Is it a new movie or more of a sequel?"

I don't know how this happened, but my 16 year old daughter hasn't seen the original Raiders of the Lost Ark and wants to know if she needs to see it (or the others) before seeing this one.

Anyone seen it yet? Should she at least see Raiders before this one?

Jihad will rain down on your ass iffn you don't see the previous three...............

She should see all 3 movies first...
I didn't really like 2 or 3 and have only seen them once, where I've seen the original many times.

Are the prequels "required"?

What? Sean Connery as his dad in "Last Crusade" was cool...Nazi's , evil bitches, Hitler, Zepplins, what's not to love?

All movies with the same charicters in it are by definition "sequels" and viewing the prevoius installments is required..

We saw it yesterday and to understand what is going on, you really need to see the first three.

I saw them all and the first was by far the best.

That being said I think not too much will be lost on this one if you see it first.

saw it Today with My 10 year old, his 10 year old Friend, the friends three older brothers and Dad.

As a stand alone it is fine. Dont' sweat not seeing the prequels.

And BTW check out the kids motorbike, it is a HD, but it has a BELT DRIVE !! Yes I looked carefully and my eyes did not decieve me.

Circa 1957 and already a Belt Drive. :dribble:

My son (18 YOA) went to see it. Said he liked it for the most part. All except for the end where the _ _ _ came up out of _____ _____ and then_____.

Said he would be willing to see it again if friends were going but wouldn’t necessarily go back to see it again by himself anytime soon.

He has seen the first three. But, doesn’t think you would need to see the first three in order to enjoy it.

I didn’t ask him what rating was assigned to the movie.

It sucked. Wait for it to go to DVD, which should be by next Tuesday. No, wait for it to got to HBO. Wait... no, wait for it to go to network TV. Ah, **** it. I wouldn't waste the 2 hours it takes to watch it if I were you.

Garbage.

Spielberg and Lucas have lost the touch.

I hate to admit it, but I totally agree. I think it completely sucked! The ONLY redeeming value was that my kids enjoyed it. If they keep putting out crap like that, thankfully, my kids are old enough to see it for themselves and not drag me with them.

I saw it , it was okay, but did not come close to the first one.... I only see it as a way to relaunch this with his new found son.... other than that nothing to pay full price for......

You guys are really pissing me off with this bad rating of indiana jones.

I think at the very least you should see the Last Crusade before watching this one. I didn't really like it as much as the last ones - then again, topping Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade would have been very tough.

Not ripping Indy, just Lucas and Spielberg. Although, the acting was terrible (Karen Allen was the worst), the CGI almost as bad, the story line even worse. Indy himself, well, no ripping him. Still like him!

Did you catch the movie set light left in one scene as they entered the tomb/cave/ruins whatever? Unbelievable.
