Just a quick update for those of you who knew Tom. He is doing better, but it's been a while now and he does not appear to able to regain control of the right side of his body. He is talking a bit more, and his comprehension is getting better. Slower progress than we all hoped for, but I'm glad he's still here, particularly so he could experience this moment.

At least he is getting some joy! Congratulations to them both and to the entire family.

I'll toss a few thoughts skyward on his behalf. Some injuries take a long-term recovery....not at all like the medical TV shows that get it done in one episode.
