Soooo, those pics of the actual bike, are they in your garage, or does the bike still belong to the seller?

Sellers garage. He's sending me more pics and a video walk around. He lives about 250 miles away and I'm waiting to here back from him when he'll be in town so that I can see it.

Seems....?, the 'heavy breathing' has cooled significantly?

Still, a decent CX650 'Euro' is a nice find. Never sold in U.S. -- may be trouble trying to register one in the States? (another of many bikes that Canadians got that U.S. riders didn't)

Comstars are still great wheels, imo. CX water pumps often weeped coolant from the weep-hole; but, being a common ceramic face-seal, probably few ever really failed (broken or damaged)? The U.S. did get CX/GL 500s & 650s (and Turbos) and the 650 versions (in the States) were generally lower specific performance -- more tuned like cruisers (but, they didn't rev as much as 500s -- usually dis-liked....numbers on tach).

In England, where CXs have been used for decades by dispatch/couriers, they're referred to (affectionately?) as "Maggots". :)

250 miles in which direction? When I was offering my intervention services, I thought you were in Ottawa (forgot you're out there in Sudbury)

Sault Ste. Marie. I'm pretty sure I've seen this bike out and about once or twice and it managed to turn my head. Sudbury just isn't that big and non-Harley's I tend to notice - especially if their CXe's. I know theirs a white one in town as well, but I haven't seen it in years.

Did some more research late last night, seems Honda Canada claims something in the order of 600 were sold in Canada for 83-84.

Ah.. a google master :D I'm in Ontario, no problem registering one up here.

Heavy breathing is still there but I'll hold off from orgasm mode until I see it. If this deal, if their is one, takes some time, thats suits me fine.

Not really...., I've got that kind of (useless) info filed-away in my little pea-brain....

Owned several and rode many CXs.

"Discretion is the better part...." Yet..., itches that never got scratched are, often, still there. :) Remember, you'll be returning to '80s-vintage m/c handling.... :(

Good luck.

My friends refuse to play Trivial Pursuit if I'm playing. I've got a real knack for remembering everything that can do me absolutely no good at all.

I'm good with the handling of the CX, it was a good handling bike above walking speeds back in the day. MUCH better than most of its contemporaries. I just want it for puttin' around town, I have no plans for it other than just a bit my 'yout' that got cut short and for some reason, seems incomplete.
