Our esteemed riding colleague, Mr Bill, screwed up and made an informal, formal invitation to join crash the NER (New England Riders) breakfast club this Friday at 0900! Sounds like something too good to pass up if anyone is available to go! The only concern is breakfast is only a few blocks away from the Harley shop, so it might be a little loud at the diner!

Here's a link to the diner.... Joey's Diner

Hope y'all can make it!

Mr CJ,

Don't blame me. I told OSJ this is your breakfast ride! :innocent:

I'm glad you picked Friday though because I'm hungry and can't do Saturday.

Mr Bill

Actually, this is right down the street from Second Wind BMW / Triumph , so there is likely to be a bunch of propeller heads around. :p

If I do make it, it'll be for the gluttony and then a dash back to work. Can't play all day, unfortunately. But one might be able to sneak in a stop at Second Wind to look at the cool new Triumphs. :)

Ha! Even Jim would know better than that, Bill! Glad you can make it though!

Fred, even if just for breakfast, race on down... I bet it should prove to be interesting! I won't tell, honest! ;)

Looks like I'm out for tomorrow AM. Damn people at work think I should actually do stuff to get paid?

Guess I'll have to try out Joey's Diner and drool over the new Trumpets some other time... :glare:

Even though Joye's Diner is <10 minutes from where I work, I can't make it. I have two meetings that morning that I positively can't miss :(

Alan,

Guess I'll see you at breakfast next month too!

Missed your BC at Parkers posting until this week. I couldn't go anyway because July 14 is Bastile Day, aka my 28 wedding anniversary.

Late time change on the BC. Delayed by one hour. 10am at Joey'sDiner

Ok then, will meet up with you and the other fat french guy on the yellow duc at 0815!

Too bad the pillars of the breakfast club won't be able to make it... looks like we'll just have to do some more rides! Seems we've gotten a late start this year. Maybe we'll get lucky and the fall will be good to us!

CJ,

Add an hour to that. see you at 0915

Bill

Great spot for a BC CJ! Two hour ride for me. And with your and my shortcuts back I got another four hours in the saddle :)
Wow, glad it turned out OK, because of DE OPPRESSO LIBER history it scares me when sends out a thread with a title that says "An invite to crash"

Oh yeah!! Nice Friday beat down. :p

BTW - I'm starting a pool to see how long this FJR lasts CJ (I actually haven't even seen this one yet)

Bill- thanks for the heads up on this ride, it was short, but fun! Breakfast was good and the peeps were top notch! All you other breakfast riders club types missed out!

Alan, youhave had a valid point! You get two bonus points for it having been a friday.

Fred, I've already crashed this bike, remember?! Now I can consider it properly "broken in"! As far as how long it lasts? We'll see..... but I tell you one thing, that damned new Suzuki bandit I just got Becky (wife) sure is fun as hell! Not as much the touring aspect of sport touring, but definitely could ride it as comfortably coast to coast as the FJR! Quick, good power band, lighter, nimbler and a narrower seat that gives us vertically challenged riders a better footing at stops despite the same seat height....
