Copied from another forum, Thanks to Tim Yow for posting.

In a recent correspondence from Mr. Kneebone the following new program is available to any who wish:

"Over the past few years we have fielded countless calls about transferring IBA certifications onto a plaque. We have worked with many vendors, but just never got consistent results. Until now.

For those wanting to upgrade from our normal paper-based certifications, 1995 Iron Butt Rallymaster, Steve Chalmers, is offering custom plaques based on your certification in either wood, aluminum or gold andozied aluminum.

For a picture of some prototype plaques and more information visit:"

Thanks for the info. Great news for me as I just completed my SS1000 a couple days ago.

I just ordered one. The turnaround was just five days. It sounded like that was considered longer than normal too since the ride was still in the verification process. Great service; great communication from Steve Chalmers.

And the icing on the cake was that it turned out to be a shortcut to find out that an extreme ride had been approved !

Very cool, thanks Airboss for the tip. I completed the SS1000 back in June and still have not gotten anything from them. I sent the documentation in first week of July so I hope to hear something soon. I know they say to give them 2-3 months so we're getting close.

By the way, at the bottom of your sig you say.... "Normal people scare me". You're not taking about us Normalites are you!
