So yesterday I'm soloing through the little park in my backyard called Yellowstone, and there are two guys touring ahead of some traffic. BTW, the park is strictly enforced 45mph but these two are averaging about 40, with a line of about 6-8 vehicles piling up behind them, including rental motorhomes, but I digress...

So I spot the dual cans and think one looks like an FJR. They eventually pull off in a pullout, I slow down, look over and one guy is on a Bimmer, the other on an FJR. I slow down, the guy on the FJR stares at me, I point down to my FJR and give him a "thumbs up" gesture. Maybe a little gay on my part (not that there's anything wrong with that), but it was the best I could think of as I rode by.

He just stares blankly at me with this look of either complete disinterest and/or arrogance, with a little annoyance and/or anger in the mix. "What a *********" I thought aloud in my helmet...

So, was it b/c he was standing too close to the BMW rider? Is it contagious?

Not sure if it's contagious or not. Do I need to talk to someone about parking my FJR next to my BMW? Perhaps I need some counseling. Or does it mean that I have a split personality? Schizophrenic?

Yeah, I think it might have been a misconstued signal. :rolleyes:

edit: Funny how the women jumped on that right away. :lol:

This is what truly disturbs me. I would expect it from Harley types, but sport-tourers?!?!?!

If I am ever caught holding up a fricking land yacht of a motorhome, anyone and everyone has my full persmission to yank my man-card and take my FJR from me. Permanently.

Freaking pathetic.

Damn, I miss the trips through Yellowstone, and especially Grand Teton National Park. But I surely don't miss the traffic, nor the huge traffic jams where people stop in the middle of the road (don't pull over) for any kind of wildlife. Even a freakin squirrel!

The park can get congested--yesterday was great as very little traffic. And I'm not exaggerating that these two were holding up traffic...

As for having a "Man-Card", is mine in jeopardy for almost getting a little emotional (ok-I admit I did..) watching a new little baby buffalo push his little nose under mama for a meal, right next to the road? Damn that was sooo cute!!!

Buffalo = Cool!

Elk = Neat!

Moose = Great!

Bear = Awesome!

When any of the above are with the little 'uns, well, that is a memory of a lifetime. Mine was a Mommy Moose and her little one about 25 yds off the road in Yellowstone several years back.

But, if possible, pull off the road!

And when it comes to squirrels, racoons, and even deer, BFD!!! Those things are freakin everywhere! But you'd think they were on the endangered species list the way the freaking tourist all stop in the middle of the road for 10 minuts to take pictures.

Well, I just had the visual of some guy ride by me pointing to his "tank"... jus' sayin'... :blink:

:rolleyes: Do I have to say it again? I said "the women jumped on that..."

I'm bad...almost as bad as barb.
