Ok, then I guess that's that. The Sportster is on craigslist. Hopefully I'll get a bite- wish me luck. Has anyone sold anything in the paper? Should I even bother with it? Is there anywhere else I should list it?

Craigslist is the best first choice, don't bother with the paper, next choice would be cycletrader if you don't get a bite. Don't be surprised if you get very few calls even if the bike is priced right. Very little of anything is selling right now and this is always a tough time of year to sell a motorcycle.

I rode mine for 5 years and loved it. Sold it, but I miss it. It was a good touring bike and fun up in the mountains. Maybe I'll get another one day.

p.s. Don't feel bad about the Sporty. A rider took 3rd place in the 2007 Iron Butt Rally on one.
