Is this FJR priced right?

In pricey silly cone valley, I've seen an 07 with 39,995k sit for months now relisting from $6k to $6.5k. Unfortunately, the choices on the market make the mileage require a more compelling reason to buy. Who wouldn't pay a grand to erase about 40,000 miles from their current bike, if they could? Or put it another way, would you take a grand and let someone put those miles on your bike? I see the cost of some service and try to factor that in as well. But I'm super cheap.

I just paid cash and bought a 2008 FJR AE with 5,500 miles for $5,500.00 in Memphis. You have a few more farkels, but not that many. I think the other posters are right that higher mileage bikes are harder to sell. I sold my 2006 FJR AE with 41,000 miles and lots more farkels then your bike in Chicago for $5,000.00 in June, but I sold it to a friend and reduced it from 6k to 5k. That bike had a Cee Bailey 4+ screen, Sargent seat, back off brake light, Givi mount, Throttlemeister, MCL bar risers, frame sliders, and a Power Commander III. It did have Michelins that were about half way to their end and a few scrapes from a no speed drop.

It's going to be harder to sell as we're moving into late fall.

I live 80 miles west of DFW and Ive seen this bike listed several places even went to the dealers site and looked. Amd Im in the market for a FJR Right now.

I can tell you why I passed by it and still looking. its not the price! Ive got that in my pocket its the mileage...And the year model..

Of corse I might have looked and payed more attention if you did what I did when I sold my bike 3 weeks ago.

get a good camera not a phone camera! good location and take lots of good quality pictures! let people look and get a good idea of its quality. Pictures on CL are after all free...

That mileage is ideal IMO for that bike. You'll be confident that it's not a ticker, and you'll have another 150,000-350,000 miles left before the bike wears out...
