You know how sometimes you climb on your bike and it's like everything is perfect? Well, that's what happened today.
I just took a quick 30 mile spin on the FJR this afternoon after work, mostly because I got my seat back from Russell. I sent it back for some warranty "touch-ups" (a different story) and wanted to take it for a quick test. But it wasn't just the seat...
Tossed on my mesh riding gear (yeah I was tempted to take it out with jeans and jacket but you FJR Forum guys have rubbed off on me with all the ATGATT stuff (thanks)) fired her up and headed straight to the nearest gas station because I had rolled in on a flashing 1 bar on my last ride. Normally that would be enough to get my panties in a wad, but today I didn't care. When I went to fill it I zoned out and pressed the "93" octane button on the pump, them immediately realized my error when the price was well over $4. I discovered that you can press another choice (regular) before you strat to dispense and the pump deals with it. Cool...
Rolled out of the station and fired up the Garmin to play some Neal Young and Coldplay. The air was especially cool and crisp for spring. And the road was particularly dry and clear. The sun was out in force. It was... harmonious.
I don't know why it happens when it happens. If I could figure it out I'd bottle it and be a millionaire.
But jeeze... sometimes life is just so damn good on an FJR.
That is all.
