Y'all are so sweet! Thanks for all the encouragement and support. I'm thinking my author's photo should show me on or with Bullet. ;)

Here's the web site for my alter ego/pen-name (it's not quite done yet, and I'll move it to a real domain name soon): https://members.cox.net/rubysard It has a few details on the book and a link to the site featuring the contest I won on the publisher's site.

(Where's that bouncy smilie when you need it?)

Way to go...put me down for a copy..my wife reads like two books a week.i built her her private library...i got a big screen :D do we get signed copies..please please

Congrats! Having watched my wife go through the process of publishing two collectors books, I have some inkling of what you've gone through.

Will definitely pick up a copy when it comes out... let us know when it hits Amazon.

Awesome, as an avid reader of most everything I am looking forward to it.

Group buy yes!!

Gosh, thanks for all your kind support!!! I feel warm and fuzzy.

As you can imagine, I'm very excited about this turn in my life. For eight years I've been a programmer, and while I enjoy it, programming is an interest for me. Writing (like riding motorcycles) is a passion. I can't not do it. The thought that maybe I could earn a living doing it gets me all giddy.

I'll let you know when it comes out, and then I'll arrange a group buy with the publisher. :)

Congratulations!

As someone who reads A lot, I can't imagine the work that goes into writing a book. I hope you sell a million, and Spielberg buys the movie rights.

John

Some of you may know that I've been spending a lot of time writing (vs. riding). Well, all that hard work is finally paying off. Today I was offered a hardcover publishing contract!
YAHOOOOO! :yahoo:

It's a heroic fantasy (Sword & Sorcery) :2handed: (sorry, no elves, dwarves or dragons tho) due out in Oct 2005!
Let us know where to buy it!
