I feel like a procrastinator, but I finally reserved my room today for the Death Valley DAZE. They still have rooms available at the Pahrump Nugget as of right now. The rate is the same as listed in earlier post.

Thanks, Dan; for getting us up to date info on room availability. Glad to hear that a same rate is being offered to our group!

I just made a reservation at the Nugget and got the AZBeemers rate. Two nights stay came to $165.66. Having set up events like this in another club, I learned the hotels are usually more than willing to extend the offer as long they have rooms available - the law of supply and demand at work.
Just spoke to Shellie at the Pahrump Nugget and she absolutely confirmed what Dakar Mohammed has so aptly stated.

The Nugget will continue to honor the AZ Beemers and AZFJR rate of 2 nights stay at $165.66 as long as they still have rooms.

Whether you're AZ Beemers or Arizona FJR Forum, please mention AZ Beemers to get the preferred $165.66 2 night rate!

To help my ten fellow AZB's and AZFJR's out, if you have misplaced your reservation confirmation numbers, last three digits:

I know you guys will be departing from Cracker Barrel there on Litchfield Rd around 08:00 on Friday the 23rd, but I'll need to know which route you will be taking so I can meet up with the group as soon as possible since I'll be leaving from Havasu.

I have been a little quiet on the forum lately because I've been busy with college graduations and bathroom remodeling, but now that is all finished and the kids are finally finished with college, I'm ready to hit the pavement en route to Death Valley. Looking forward to having fun, but I will admit the possibility of riding on snow covered roads on two wheels does not sound to be much intriguing.

Hi Dan! Wolfhound loves riding in the snow! We will plan our route at the Cracker Barrel after looking at the latest weather forecasts in an attempt to avoid a snowed in route. If even the slightest doubt, up to Parker then west and into Shoshone.

If it is as dry as a bone, we will go through Kingman and pick you up there! Please keep my cell # handy: 602-722-0427.

Howdy Lee: Glad that you can make this ride with us! The Pahrump Nugget crew will be at Furnace Creek for breakfast on Saturday morning when we sober up; ha, ha! Please either call Don Stanley's room for an accurate time when we will be rolling out of Pahrump or call my cell at 602-722-0427. One of our group is an airline pilot for Southwest and he flew over Death Valley this PM and said the snow is gone. I will be riding my dual sport BMW G650GS Twin through Titus Canyon.

Wolfhound, 03silverbullet and Big-D will be leading the road adventure on Saturday; while I will be leading the dirt bikers!!!

Lee,

I am planning on going as well so lets pick a time and place to meet then we can go wake up all the hung over riders and get them moving!!!

Yo Don, you keep them Zonie rides a-commin'. I'm planning to join up with you in AZ. guys (& gals) this year! Prolly on the east side of AZ on the 166?

Youze guys have a Great Death Valley Adventure.

I am "numero uno" de los tres amigos de California, Jorge', Roberto, y Rudy

AZ 191 (aka 666) is on of my top 5 rides in the states. From abt 2000ft to over 9000ft in the Pine/Aspen forests where no logging or building leave a pristine area to ride with everything from great sweepers to awesome tight twisties. Looking forward to seeing you again . . . .

Khunajawdge: Jorge, is Cal-Poly San Luis Obispo still on the quarter system? When I graduated as a Mustang in 1974 it was and there was always a small break between the Summer and Fall Quarters. Please let we Zonies know those dates.

Wolfhound and I'll plan a Devil's Highway '666' Ride and reserve the Sportmen's Lodge in Alpine for a Saturday night stay.

Drag donc, Roberto, Rudy and the SOCAL FJR Mutts with you and we FJR types will terrorize Eastern Arizona y New Mexico.

don Don

You truly are a don! I will refer to you as don (doun) Don from now on! Wolfhound will remain Wolfhound. :D

Yes, Cal Poly is still on the quarter system since you graduated. No, I do not teach in the summer, and I am partially retired (No, not ********, :whistling: ) in the Fall.

Here's the deal with us Californio's. We will ride into the AZ heat, as long as we gain in altitude after we struggle through the CA. desert in Mid to late summer.

Rudy, he IS like me but he can sing. Roberto? well? he "might" ride, but...it ALL depends on the senoritas, the tequila, and the mariachi's? Me I just gotta "itch" for a ride I gotta scratch. Me thinks I'll be ready for a ride in August/September out you way to the 666. The Sportsman's Lodge sounds good.

Im kinda fascinated by the Southwest lately and I am currently reading "Skinwalkers" by Tony Hillerman to keep the mood going.

Hasta Luego Los Zonie Amigos! :clapping:

https://weather.aol.com/forecast/7-day/us/nv/pahrump/id/89048 Arizona FJR Forum Zonies: 2 weeks from today we will be riding to Death Valley Daze and if this incredible weather holds, we are going to have some fantastic warm riding conditions!

NOTE: There are still rooms available at the Pahrump Nugget; and solo riders with rooms with spare bed so you can cut costs!
