A couple of observations: I think one thing that keeps them up is carrying speed ("No ****, Burleigh"). It is curious to me, when I compare similar vids of US cops, is that they don't seem to be looking over their shoulder to where they're going, but at the ground. And they seem to be putting their foot down a lot more. (Not saying I'm not impressed!)

I talked to a moto cop at the Intl Bike Show in San Mateo, and he said the way you learn to do this is you get yourself a big ol' beater bike and just go out and do it again and again and again, not afraid to drop the beater bike. (BTW, he said he did that in order just to be able to qualify to get into motocop school--in other words, he didn't learn it in motocop school, but had to have some basic skills to not be washed out immediately.)

Anyone got a beater bike I can borrow? I want to be able to do this. I could really use those skills in cutting down the time it takes me to get onto the Bay Bridge through gridlocked city traffic each night (the best I've done is to cover a distance it would take a cage 30 or 40 minutes to cover--in 3 minutes! :hyper: )

A dear friend of mine is an ex-motocop and he does better with a big H-D. You can hear scrapes when he does it...
