OK yesterday, I just met Jordylad in person and he rides a Triumph Sprint. Also met up for the first time with ynotride, who by the way just got his new 08, Black Beauty. B)

What happens to a person after riding with a couple FeeJ's?

Tell us Jordylad! :clapping:

I assume you're saying that riding with FJRs, some experience an epiphany, coupled with a sudden desire for retail therapy at the local Yamaha dealer?

Resistance is futile, Jordy...you will be assimilated.

So is this person from Newcastle a member?

And next time you go riding you need to let everyone know so we can all come out and play.........

Will Do. I had a post about my new bike (i havent figured out how to attach a post link yet) titled new 08. I asked in that thread if anyone wanted to go riding this weekend and Jordy and FJRBlue were the only people to reply.

Is there a section on this forum where I can post the Anyone riding this weekend question? I want to ride as much as possible and my only buddy that rides lives in Phoenix.

Are you the one having the tech day soon? I dont really need to do anything but I would be interested in watching/helping so I can learn more about the bike.

Hmmm....

You might try scrolling through the main page of the FJR Forum

You'll find major headings like:

Board Information, General Motorcycle Forums, FJR Technical Forums, FJR Rides and Gatherings, etc.

If you look at the sub-headings under FJR Rides and Gatherings, you will find the following subheadings:

Long Distance Riding/Iron Butt

Regional Ride Planning & Information Exchange (Including Sightings)

.....Subforums: Pacific Northwest, California, Southeast, Northeast, Texas, Midwest, Southwest, Canada, Europe, Australia

I'd bet that if you went to the subforums: and clicked on California, it would open an entire new world to your ride planning (By clicking on "New Topic" and posting your plans) or even fulfill your desires about joining someone else's SoCal ride.

Just a thought....... ;)

Don't worry about playing with Richard. After a few miles most of us can't keep up with him anyhow.

I have been in those subforums and most of what I see is rides that already happened. But at least I know where to start my own threads for rides now. Thanks for the info. I am still an FNG. :dribble:

Yes i am having the tech day and you are welcome to come on by, i am sure we will need lots of help.

As far as rides go, as Mike says the best place to post them is in the california section. I can ride most any day except thursday when i play golf.

If you go to the "California" section under "Ride Planning" you can see my post about last Saturday's ride Here!

Then if you scroll down to the next section, "Ride Reports" and click on it, and scroll down to:

NorCal: Another MadMike Spur-of-the-Moment Ride

29 March: Sonora for Lunch Bunch

Then click on that and you'll get this ride report.

You'll learn, that's why we are goading you, to expand your knowledge and capabilities. :)

You ride out on a Triumph Sprint ST and ride home on a brand new 07 1300A.

Hey great to meet you guys Saturday but I can't afford to ride with you again for a while, costs me too dam much money when I ride with you! I knew we should have gone to the Riverside Airshow as planned.

Enjoyed the ride home, I immediately notice the jerky throttle problem everyone talks of. I need to get that fixed. Also, I need insurance, sliders, throttle meiser, glow in the dark bag reflectors, tankbag, cover........... hold on, will I ever afford to ride this thing.

Talk to you soon.

John

Hey John, there are quite a few people going to Richard's tech day. Some are going to work and others of us are going to watch. If you need an interpreter, I'll help you to understand Richard's peculiar English accent :) .

Jill

Interesting story. I hope you know that you were officially assimilated into the cult.

But ... please .... do yourself a favor: DO NOT go for a ride with your local Ferrari club. Your bank account might never recover! ;)

Hey boys, obviously I'm new to this Forum thingy. Question.......

How come I'm not seeing all of the posts, including my own?

I can only 3 4 posts in this topic, but I read there are at least 13.

What am I don't wrong?

Hey man sorry for spending your money but I needed that tank of gas they gave me. B)

I'm new here to and I'm sure someone else will jump in but have you tried clicking the "My Controls" up near the top of the page and look in there to see if your settings are correct?

**** translate for ME, have you listened to yourself lately?????

Also have you ever spoken to a Jordy (Ouch)

Hope to see you on the 12th John, and by the way if you had gotten an 08 you would not have had that throttle problem :dribble:

Richard

Sounds good boys and girls.

Mike fixed me up, I can now see all of the posts. Thanks again Mike.

Can some give me the details of the tech day on the 12th, where, what time, etc. I would like to attend to see what goes on and meet everyone. There's a chance I may be in Palm Springs that weekend, but I'll probably ride out there and be able to join your folks anyway.

Jill, I will probably be translating for Richard, he probably doesn't talk proper English, like wot I does  .

John

P.S. Got insurance.

Ordered sliders from OES (thanks Dan).

Ordered hradbag reflective strips on eBay, more available at https://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/...name=STRK:MEWN:IT&viewitem=&item=110237918167https://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=110237918167
