O, Woe is me!!
I just saw the 125 race from Catalunya.
Simon's note to self: If there's no checkered flag waving, the race ain't over.
If you're ?????? right now, he crossed the line in the lead with one lap to go, and started celebrating his victory. He looked around to get waves from the other riders, who went by him at speed, and had that sinking realization that it wasn't done yet. He dropped to 6th, clawed his way to 4th at the end, milliseconds off of 3rd. (Overhead freeze-frame at the line looked like less than an inch!) He was 4th at La Caixa, nearly high-sided and dropped back to 6th again.
