Nothing wet here...yeah there was a low ceiling for Rainier, but below that ceiling the scenery was pretty fricken awesome!

FJR handling great fully loaded with sidebags and a couple small duffles on those sidebags..and a Prius did not pass us on Rt 12, no sir.

So Don, once again I am out west, where are you, and where the heck is Keizer?

If it's raining on the west side tomorrow you can always go around Rainier on the dry side (east side) and then north. Go back to Monroe over Stevens pass (HW 2). Note: Traffic over Snoqualmie Pass and Stevens Pass on Sunday afternoon can be slow to stop and go in the passes, because of people heading back to Seattle.
Oh Lordy I'd rather ride in the rain than take Hwy 2 west bound on ANY Sunday.
Fontanaman, you are so right!

Awesome day it was, even with a bit of leap-frogging on 410.

Made it to Base Camp 1 Monday after an extended reconnaissance thru the Cascades and Fontanaman's secret sideslipping infiltration route. The locals seem very friendly and do not seem to have caught on to our mission...even assisting with viddles and housing. The locals gave us a tour of their secret back egress passages...Will note for later use.

Heading east tomorrow to check conditions in the Nelson/Nakusp locale...

Agent Goober over n out.

Glad you found my suggestions helpful.

If you are in Nakusp go a bit farther north to Halcyon Hot Springs the best Hotsprings in BC. Why is it so great you ask? Open the link, the water circulates counterclockwise around the island. Get a couple of blue noodles, also in the picture. Place a noodle around your arms and one around your feet. Lay up side down and let the current take you as it will. But into somebody, oh sorry you murmur. It is so relaxing and the people are so nice. A slice of heaven indeed!

Even a visit to the Nakusp hot springs for a quick dip....... run by the municipality, have cottages if you want to stay, riverside camping, and cheap.

Niehart and I successfully completed the mission, made it back to familiar territory and filed the scouting report with the appropriate agencies. Had a great ride into the frozen north with the Wheaton's and a fantastic ride back south. Almost 1000 miles over two days, a little weather but nothing to spoil the ride.

Huge shout out to Dave & Syl for lodging, food and the awesome views!

I'll get some pics up tomorrow...

Great to have you both here - sorry you had to leave so fast - was it something I said?

Still looking for DC...

Hostess with the mostest. Just so nice and the home, awesome. Friendship, food, fire pit, what more could you ask. Thanks Dave & Syl.

As much as it pains me to be nice to Mark, he's a lot of fun to ride with. And Louanne, we stretched her time on the bike one of the days and aside from the 7 layers of jackets, sweaters, etc. she did awesome.

Th horses all together. escapefjrtist owns the S10 and it's gorgeous. Mark's setup to big miles in the middle and my old beat up 2010 with only

70,000 miles on it.

Sorry to have missed you guys! But, I have the summer cold from hell.

Safe trip Wheatie and wifey! Enjoy!

Bulb replaced, showered and relaxing. That bulb replacement was the easiest one ever...things just naturally fell into place. People who know me, know I can screw up putting the seat on...
Wheatie, you know before long the other bulb will bite the dust! Trouble putting on the seat?

...yea but you can fix a flat in no time.
