I think we stayed at the Super 8 last year, it was fine.
Just found out that my inlaws just set the date for their 2nd annual family reunion guess what Saturday it is.....

*&%*$$#&(@#*&%%$#@$%*# dem phookers

need a plan how to get out of it.
Hey...if it's the 2ND annual...then the 2ND hasn't happened yet...therefore no tradition has set root. Tell them that you would be glad to help their "new found" tradition along if it occurs another weekend. Priorities man....you CAN have your pie and eat it too. :clapping:

One of these years, I will be here on this ride... B)

We are actually going out this Sunday to revise the Catskill loop.
It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it.

Danielle and I just took a run up Route 30 around the reservoir this afternoon. The road is in good shape and clear of winter sand. Lots of LEO running radar on 28 and on 10 around Delhi.

FWIW, there's a nice little road out of Downsville that takes you to Route 10 about half way between Walton and Delhi. It's CR26.

Damn! I have my little one that weekend. I am about 45 minutes north of the Catskills and love riding thru. I hope that when you guys and gals are here in Albany we can pop in and put some faces with the names.

Tracy Road update

Yesterday pmk6v & myself road on Tracy Rd. :yahoo: When we got to the west end we met 2 guys loading there bikes on a trailer. They were going to ride the road but one bike quit running, so they called for a trailer to come get them. They told us how earlier that day there was a LEO giving them the 3rd degree about riding fast on Tracy Rd. and they never even got the chance to do so. The LEO told them that himself and other officers know about bikes and cars running to fast on Tracy Rd., and they occasionally stake out the road and write many tickets. The LEO was also saying how he knows about videos of this road on U-Tube.

Just a little heads up.

Picture this, It's a beutiful day. Early sunrise... Warm but not hot... No rain in sight... 25 or 30 FJRForum'ers gather for a ride on Tracy rd. (among others in the area) and you're into you're ride pushing hard, scraping those acorns down to nubs, and you run into these ***** that can't even stay on their side of the friggin rd. Thats the difference (IMHO) of being recklass, and riding spirited.

I live in PA about 35 miles from the south west NY state line. We are getting reports from a lot of bikers that they were stopped at the border and the LEO's are checking everything - license, registration, inspection, license location and postion, DOT sticker on helmets. PA is a helmet optional state and everyone stops at the turnout at the border to put their helmets on if they remember. I have heard of the straight pipe gang being turned away on a good day or given tickets for "non-stock equipment" on a bad day.

Do they think they found a pot-o-gold like TN did? Wassup widat?

Not sure if Cheryl and I can make it Friday. But Saturday looks good.

We went up and opened the cabin for the season this week end. Had to take the cage though because of all the stuff to haul up and back. Totaly sucked to be in the car with the great weather we had. ( But had a chance to fly my RC planes so all was not lost )

So if anyone needs a place to stay over Friday night or Sat. night. Shoot me a PM.

We are located about an hour west of Albany off rt.88.

We are actually going out this Sunday to revise the Catskill loop.

Well, we completed/road our revised loop for the Catskills ride last Sunday. From the starting point (Circle Diner in Latham) back to the finish line (Ruby Tuesdays in Latham) we totaled 400 miles. I must say it is a great ride with plenty of nice scenery. We will post more specifics soon. Is it June yet?

I can't wait - took the FJR in today for the ignition switch recall - they're putting new spark plugs in her while all the plastic is off - she's already got a pair of new sneakers on her - now I just need the calendar to move along a little quicker

Anyone else riding "Two Up" for the Cats & Daks?

Looks like my wife, Lori, may try to join me . . . . if so we'll be in for the "Cats" and have to be back home on Saturday to rescue friends that will be watching the kids.

There were some two up riders there last year. No problem with that. Be prepared for a long day ridden at a brisk pace. :yahoo:

Yeah but remember, group two was less brisk, sort of, pretty much, mostly and we didn't leave anyone behind.

Last weekend Iris and I did a practice Adirondack loop and I must say...if only they could smooth-out the second half of Rt. 28N. We did happen upon a two-up 2007 Feejer. We stopped in Lake Placid for coffee and chatted for a while. Interestingly enough, they are not on the forum so we told them about our Cats & Daks rides schedule for June. I assure you, he will not have a problem keeping up.

Is it June yet?

I know we had 2 groups last year for the "Daks" - are we doing 2 groups for the "Cats"?

I told her that if she goes to be prepared for a very long day . . . . so far she's not phased by that . . . I tried. ; )

I can keep up - the question is "can she hang on"

I know my girlfriend Julie is pretty interested in riding with me 2-up for this.

She's a really good passenger, which helps of course.

In fact, we rode together with her on her Honda Shadow for a weekend at Lake Champlain and she's a pretty good rider too!
