I scouted the road through Frost Valley on my way home from work yesterday. The road surface is about the same as last year. Some new patches have been put down very sloppily leaving lots of loose black gravel across the road near the patches, so we'll have to keep our eyes open for that.

We have let Iris go through first so the turbulence from her bike will blow all the loose stuff away!

And you have to suffer another Masshole, Audioguy (from the old old forum) is riding in with me from central Mass. He's one of the few people I look up to, he makes the FJR look like a pocketbike.

Microtel - Home Sweet home! Stayed there last year and it's called "Micro" for a reason. Gat to call today and book myself in.

I got the upgraded room for whatever that means because they didn't explain what exactly is upgraded. I read some reviews about the rooms being small. For $3.00 more a night I figured whatever it is, it wasn't much money. I will probably spend more money on Beers when the day is done. Now to figure out a leisurely route to head up there since we have Thurseday and Friday off.

Ah, I wish I could join youse guys. It's not too far for me to get there. But I simply cannot get away next weekend. My wife is teaching a seminar at Columbia on Saturday so I'm with the kids.

Jim and I just returned from a 3400+ mile ride in sw CO and NM trip. Lots of fun....lots of different weather....lots of pics. Not much rubber left on the tires though.

Anyway, we're glad to see all of the positive responses for the "Cats and Dacks" ride, and look forward to meeting all of you.
