I, too, had a blast :D

Huge THANKS out to:

Barb, Dana, Jeff et al - for putting this together. I had a glimpse into the 'behind the scenes' work. Barb and her crew went above and beyond ....(including a huge urn of coffee on every morning at 0600 thanks to Barb) :clapping: (thank you, as well, for the airport pick-up and drop-off)

Tyler - GREAT roommate! thank you

Fairlaner - for pouring my drinks. Including water ;)

exskibum - for the pillion seat on Friday. I'm pretty sure you'd have enjoyed Rte 4 more without a sack of spuds on your back so I very much appreciate your generosity. I still can't figure out what the fines/penalties/jail sentence might be for doing double the speed limit .... It was all good, Rich, and I'll look to you for pillion references if I find myself in need again :)

Dr. Rich - it was a pleasure to meet you and share a bottle of wine with you on Saturday :kiss2:

FJRGuy - whatever the hell happens in a hot tub STAYS in the hot tub !

Too everyone else (Mrs, SPU, Kat, who claimed she's framing a certain poster for their living room; the big yellow Barry bear; Niehart, whom I have to cajole into coming to CFR 2011; gosh ... the list goes on), stay safe and keep on keepin' on ! :yahoo:

I too want to express my thanks to Barb, Dana and the rest of the organizing crew. You all did an awesome job...Having attended many rallies, I have to say I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in Parksville the most. Not having to put up with Old Michael and Beemerdons made the weekend that much more pleasant! Tyler and MEM are also to be thanked for putting up with most of us... I had a great time....

P.S. Barb, when you said you would be up at 6 to say goodbye, was that am or pm? Hugs Rich

Syl and I rolled in about 4:00 after rain all the way home. Jeff followed us from Horseshoe Bay but swung off at Hope, either for fuel or because he wanted to ride the canyon? He had a long wet afternoon ahead of him!...
It was fuel! :D Rolled into Calgary around 10:00MDT, 13.5 hrs after departing Parksville. It rained all but the last hour... which it might as well have as I was already very wet and cold. :dribble:

FJRGuy - whatever the hell happens in a hot tub STAYS in the hot tub !
Gotcha! ;)

Big HUGE thanks to Barb and Dana (who deserve ALL the credit) for putting WCR together. Glad I could help. :clapping:

Thanks to MEM and Tyler for flying in for the event. Wouldn't 've been the same without ya! :yahoo:

Thanks to the ladies from U-Vic for... well lets just say thanks! :dribble:

Thanks to MEM for "whatever the hell" happened in the hot tub!

Thanks to the Cali boys for letting me play with them on Friday, and my fellow Calgarians for Saturday.

Thanks to Dave and Sylvia for leading the way to Hope (possibly saving me from a performance award in Chiliwack  )

Thanks to everyone who helped out at the event in any way, shape or form.

AND... Thanks to everyone who attended! It's truly the people that make these rallies great! :drinks:

There will be future WCRs, but we'll try to avoid Wet,Cold & Rainy next time! :p

P.S. Barb, when you said you would be up at 6 to say goodbye, was that am or pm? Hugs Rich
I was up at 5:30! and the door was open.......obviously from the pics posted I wasn't getting any beauty sleep!

You owe me, Mr......Dr.......erm, whoevah you are ..... :assassin:

Barb, Dana, and Jeff,

Thanks for all of the work you did!

I had a great time, the facility was outstanding, the food was great.

But, most of all, the company was the best. I loved seeing all of the old friends and making new ones.

Hugs from Barb, MEM, and Tyler?

My life is complete.

John

P.S. I posted a small video in the "Pics From WCR" thread.

The door to the hospitality room was locked at 5:30 and all the lights were out....You were either asleep in your little room with the lights out or passed out in some other part of the resort! Nice try Mizz Blonde!

P.S. BC Ferries Suck... The one from Dukes point was supposed to leave at 7:45 and when I got there it was closed. The guy told me that they had switched over to winter hours that night and the first ferry was at 10:30.... A very fast dash to Departure Bay and I was the last one on the 6:30 ferry to Horseshoe Bay...

John,

It was great finally meeting you! What a nice guy you are. If I had known that, I would have tried to meet you in that big metropolis of Roseburg before. LOL

Barb, Dana & Jeff,

Thanks for your hard work in putting this on. I was a little concerned when CFR kept moving further East thinking we would not be able to see our hospitable neighbors for a few years.

We had a great time - see you all soon,

JayH

I hope you all know who REALLY is to thank for this past weekend...

The Beamer Reamers!

David has been poking at me on the forum for a couple years now about me hosting an Island ride, and voila, I took the bait!

It was really wonderful to have them both attend with what they have been thru.

David and Colleen, it was great to meet you both, and I look forward to having you back as guests when you are ready, willing and able to be back on 2 wheels.

Open invite, just let me know!

Last one....

Deepest thanks to my sister from another mother that travelled all the way here to participate and finally meet this worn out old broad for the 1st time face-to-face.

It was like hooking up with a life long friend for lunch. Like we had just done the week prior, except, ya....no, we had never met before this.

I cried like the dork that I am when we parted company at the airport today.

Anyone in SanFran wanna marry me so I can come down there and live by my sister forever? LMAO

Stay tuned for Part 2 of Twyla and Wanda's Most Excellent Adventure

(hopefully there are no pics LOL)

It was Wet, Cold & Rainy? Who knew ? :D
That's EASY for you to say. I mean, just cause it was always hot and steamy where YOU were... I mean... aw, I'll just shut up now...
