Ok, I finally washed my jacket and pants (with mild soap, brush, and water hose) to get 1 1/2 years of bugs and dirt off, especially after the recent love bugs. Bike is all clean (haven't ridden it in 2 weeks) and waxed. Will get saddlebags loaded next 2 days (won't take that long, just gives me something to look forward to after work), and will make sure all electronics are charged.

Can you tell I'm ready for this?

I'll wash mine on Friday morning. The packing will take me minutes. I'll have my denim cortech riding jacket and I'm bringing the armored vest and my armored forearm/elbow pads for the slow stuff once we leave the mainland and hit Key Largo in the heat. I'll have a tee shirt on for that leg. I'll be nice and cool. I'm ready for this too!

Hey Guys

New to the board and to FJRs. I read this thread and would love to go on this one, but this is my busiest time at work. No way I can take monday off right now. I can however get away for a long day ride on Saturday.

Would you guys entertain the idea of me meeting up with you guys Saturday morning and riding down into the keys for a ways? Maybe till about the lunch break or so then I could head on back home.

Not a perfect scenario but it would give me a chance to meet a few guys from the board. Then later in the year maybe I can join in on some longer trips. My work is kind of seasonal. I can't really ask for days off this time of year.

I noticed earlier in the thread you guys are leaving from around the Northlake Blvd area on Saturday morning. That's about an hour from me.

I live in Belle Glade. So I am only about 45 minutes away.

Saw your PM. I know right where it's at. My son rented a house for a year about 4 streets north of there.

Looking forward to it. I love riding down to the Keys whether it's for the day or a long weekend.

You found the right section for planning future rides. If you have any rides on your mind, chances are there will be other interested riders.

I have been doing 70 hours a week for a couple months now. I find myself waiting until Friday before I know If I will be making this ride. Most likely if I work Saturday, I will have to refrain from the ride. Hope to make it though.
