Below is a synopsis

Earlier this month, a few of us took a ride to Key West. Steve (YummYam) and I met after work and rode a couple of hours to Vic's (Majicmaker) house. Got there at dusk, so caged it to a restaurant for food and drink. The next morning Dan (danh600) got to Vic's and would ride with us for a few hours.

;

We left at 10:00a, figuring a 4 hr ride was ahead. Just below Homestead traffic came to a complete halt. So we pull off US 1 to see if there was a way around. There wasn't. So Dan decided he would bid farewell then (smart man, that Dan). So Steve, Vic, and myself got back in line. Little did we know, US1 had been closed down for a marathon (50 & 100 miler). So that 4 hr ride...turned into 8 hrs!

Once there, we hurriedly got to eating, drinking, and getting drunk! The next day (Sun.), we just nursed ourselves with doing touristy stuff. Monday morning, back on the road. Beautiful weather, Florida Keys, just perfect riding! Vic peeled off once we got to the turnpike, and Steve and I continued on up the center of the state to finish out this 800+ mile run.

So I'm dedicating this video to my Brothers in Arms...Dan, Steve, and Vic. You guys are great!

Traffic is usually heavy in the Keys. I mean there is only one road in and out. However, once we got to Homestead I knew something was going on. So I am glad I turned and headed to home. I really wanted to ride at least to Islamorada with you guys. I do that often on day rides when the traffic is normal.

Next time I am making the whole trip!

Like I said traffic is always a little heavy in the keys, it's usually hot, lots of tourist. Tons of reason to not ride there. BUT when you ride over those bridges there is not much like it. Ocean on one side, gulf on the other. I love riding in the Keys.

Outstanding, Rob. A nice little Margaritaville weekend is always good for the soul. Thank God it's within arms reach any time we want.

We must do that again. Next time we'll bring Chuck35 with us.

Thanks everyone. I'm learning on my own, and have much more to learn. Video editing can be a time consuming process, as I tend to get impatient. Yet, the more I do it, the quicker the process becomes. So hopefully, there will be many more rides for me to video and practice with.

I resemble that remark!

Thanks for thinking of me ;)

I just landed a few days off at the end of June (hint)

I'm up to my *** in alligators in that timeframe but, who knows, lightning might strike twice and set me free again! :)

Once I get tires (Monday) I could do it again. Of course, notice would help to secure the funds, but time wise it's doable for me.

This was too much fun not to do again! Them Yankees don't know what they're missing! :)

I wasn't planning to take up the drinking hobby again, perhaps I can be the official spotter of adams apples on the hookers or something?

Lord knows, Vic could use a spotter.
Heyyyyyyy!!! That's insulting! I can spot an Adam's apple from a mile away! I spent 8 years in the US Navy! We're professional Adam's apple spotters. I sent Rob into that gay bar to pull his zipper down in the bathroom on purpose. It's what I do!! It's in my DNA! It was hilarious! :D

Yeah, it's funny that you asked me to get "Stephan" to come out of there to "play" with you....you Navy boys! :)

In all seriousness, a place known for being gay, didn't seem that way...except for the bar Vic sent me in to (I really had to piss).

We had a great time, hanging out with each other, drinking, eating, and drinking. I would do it again in a heartbeat with you guys!

This was a great time....with true friends. Thanks you guys, I really needed it!
