If you want to see a **** load of these, once a year these furry little creatures are on the march bigtime not far from here in search of a mate. They cover the highway.

Yeah, just think of it...if you're mcy camping in the middle of nowhere, those footsteps that you hear in the woods at night may not be a racoon, skunk, coyote, wolf, bear or axe-murderer...it MAY be one of those KILLER spiders! :dribble:

The ones I hate are those radioactive ones... they turn your life upside down, and give you all these superpower responsibilities, and make you a target for all kinds of psychopathic maniacs, and just when my Uncle Ben was... uh.... never mind....

Black Widows certainly live where it snows. I grew up in Colorado and man, did we ever have an issue with black widows! Our house was brand new, built where there was just open field and we had both field mice and black widows, more of the latter.
They would scurry up their webs under the lap siding when you walked around the corner. For the first two years in that house, each trip to the basement and around the house, or garage was accompanied by a can of Raid.
5 kids, 2 adults and a dog lived there, not one bite from a spider.
I figure we could have left them alone and been fine, but we layed out mass carnage with both Raid, mouse traps and our dog that was quite good at snagging mice.
The dog's name was Ben and should be in the Mutt Hall of Fame. He was super cool.
