I kinda like the idea of adding a TPM option for my '07 FJR and was wondering if anyone had installed one of these yet?

Many of the newer bikes have them as an option but the FJR does not and must rely on 3rd parties to provide this enhancement. This unit also provides realtime HP stats as you ride which could also be cool...at least for me.

Go ahead fire away!

I like the looks of that unit. Don't have one, but if the first Guinea Pig that gets one wouldn't mind sharing their thoughts, I'd sure appreciate it.

I just tried installing the unit tonight. I spent three hours and I am convinced it is not the monitoring system for me. Here's a few things that I do not like.

1. Very difficult to install the air valve sensor without them leaking.

2. The sensor that attached to the brake caliper is very difficult to install and will need to be removed and re-installed during a brake change.

3. The sensors are difficult to line up per instructions.

4. Too many parts to maintain.

I guess I'm back on the hunt for a good monitoring system.

The thing I don't like about this unit(from their on line install instructions) is that big transceiver arm (that sticks out from the bracket attached to the brake caliper bolt) that has to mate up to the responder(on the valve stem) to read every wheel revolution. There must be something better out there!! If I find one I will start a thread on it.

What a eye sore!!

Has anyone used Tirewatch offered here before? It appears to be somewhat unobtrusive in installation and also measures temp. Is more $.

Firm believer in checking my tire pressure before each ride, that said does anyone else think that you can sometimes get too much information and lose track of the enjoyment of riding as opposed to monitoring all these gadgets.

I agree... but I'm into gadgets :)
