Are newbies welcome? I have some time off work :yahoo: actually the whole week of Veterans day and am looking to do my first road trip on the bike. I was thinking about heading toward AZ and NM then I seen this, a gathering in Laughlin. I only see one ride planned for Saturday? and the AZ guys are peeling off and headin home. Do you AZ guys plan on riding Sunday? I may tag along if that would be ok? I don't plan on staying in Laughlin very long as I am not a drinkin and gamblin man. (call me a stick in the mud) Would like to take advantage of the time off work and put on some miles and see some sights.
Hi Blue Flame: Right now it is just Uri and Sylvia Schumm that are leaving from the pack after we visit the top of Hualapai Mountain. I was with SkooterG, Ron Ellis and vectervp1 yesterday evening, and there may be some more FJR Zonies that will depart on Saturday; but right now the rest of us, such as Wolfhound & Kiki - Donna and I - Dr. Bob and Cooleyman - will leave on Sunday morning. You are more than welcome to ride back to Phoenix with we Zonies. We always stop at Joe's Barbecue in the Indian City of Wikieup - best BBQ in the state for pulled pork sandwiches and ribs. Join up with us!!!

If you would like to ride to Laughlin, but would like to save a night's lodging fee, please consider just going for Friday night only and enjoy a really fun day ride too!
That's a good idea Don, but I'm affraid this one's just out of my reach at the moment. My wife insists that we pay our mortgage and buy groceries instead so I won't be able to make this trip. :angry2: Y'all have fun.
Hi pinhead: "wife insists that we pay our mortgage and buy groceries instead" That never stops Wolfhound and SkooterG!!!

Hi Don how many you got coming from your end?
R
Richard, We've had this conversation before. Please don't ever mention the phrase "coming from your end" around SkooterG!

Ten Zonies are rolling over to meet you SoCal Riders. Six are spending both nights and four are heading back to PHX Saturday.

Big-D, Dan from Lake Havasu City, is also riding up Saturday morning; he's only 60 miles away. He'll be at the Casino at 0900 hrs.

ME BAD! I realized I failed to count in the fact that we're meeting RenoJohn and spudmanz at the Bagdad road turnoff north of Wickenburg! So that makes 12. But you know about leading FJR riders: Harder than leading a herd of cats cross country!

I forgot RJ is going will make sure i pack extra smokes..........

Is Skooter gonna make it?

We are leaving the 210/15 at 11am so will be there for check in time.
