Five of my friends and I are headed down from Colorado...leaving Wednesday backroads to Hartsel to Breckenridge to Frisco (when I meet my Denver area friends) I-70 to Green River UT-24 to Hanksville and Torrey UT-12 to Escalante to Cannonville for Wed night. Thursday Cannonville UT-12 to US-89 south to UT-14 to Cedar City I-15 to Valley of Fire and Northshore Rd to Hoover Dam and then south to Laughlin. Should arrive Thursday evening and we'll be staying at the Golden Nugget Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights, heading home on Sunday to Kingman I-40 to Williams north to South Rim and over to Cameron, US-89 north to US-160 east to Kayenta; ride Monument Valley that evening for sunset. Monday Kayenta US-160 east to US-60 to Farmington to Chama NM/CO-17 over Cumbres and LaManga Passes to Antonito US-285N to US-24 eas tto home.
I will be on my Gold Wing for this trip vs the FJR. Mix of bikes. My Orange Gold Wing, Roy on his Dark Red MetallicGold Wing, Smoky on his Red/Cream Valk, Larry on his Red Valk, Brad on his Silver ST1300, and Steve on his V-Rod. Quite the mix, but we've all ridden together for years -- we all just keep changing to different bikes over the years. If you see such a group in Laughlin, yell at me on the Orange Wing!
