I don't know why the cop sprayed him. Old Steve certainly wasn't threatening in the least.

The cop probably would have had less of a fight just letting him piss and then cuff him.

Probably became an indecent exposure and non-compliance issue at that point.

Plus it was probably a lot more fun to spray him, get him all pissed off and wrestle him to the ground. He won't remember it anyway, so what the hell? Just letting him piss and arresting him would have been way too boring. Also, the resisting arrest part will look better on the police report, compared to the pissing off a lawn mower charge. The guy was being cooperative, for the most part. That cop was a BORED *******.

Nonetheless, mower boy wasn't exactly making good decisions that day either. A good example of what happens "When 2 stupid people meet".

kinda reminds me of the country crooner george jones...

so many dui's, had the keys taken from him, so he rode to the bar on the rider mower...

story here under the Drinking and Drug Abuse heading... lol...

I'm disappointed.
There was no "Don't tase me, Bro!"

Other than that, I don't think it's real.
I'm agreeing. +1, ummm Gunny, yeah that it, Gunny.

This was a total sham. Kind of amusing though.
You guys have clearly never been to Kentucky.

Some LEOs I've worked with in a small KY town told me about a pair of brothers arrested for DUI, one on a horse (two-time offender clicky) and the other right behind him on a lawn mower. (Note: the link is about the 1st dui on the horse, the brother does not appear in that story)

We had a horse DUI here in Woodland Ca. about15 years ago. the person charged found guilty of a DUI

That cop acted just like a person with a small **** has just a little power and wants everyone to know

The thing I don't get is how you could charge anyone with DUI on a horse or a mower, since neither require a license to operate. I'm sure they could come up with some sort of reckless endangerment charge, but DUI is a motor vehicle offense.

In Kentucky, it is a vehicle offense, it doesn't need to have a motor. Other states aren't so sure: link
