I recently purchased two bright LED's (blue) to maybe fit under the front fairing (under the lights). I think they would look shit hot but I'm not sure of what to wire them into. there are only two wires so what source should I tap into? any ideas I'm sure they only draw a small amount of power. There actually those car jet washers with the LED's in them. Very small but bloody bright!

If you're a brave sole, you could crimp tap them into the headlights or the windshield hot wire. They don't draw enough juice to worry about.

One wire should be pos and the other neg. If they aren't marked, just go to some 12 v battery and touch the terminals. You'll figure out which is which, if it even matters.

Of course if you want to be able to turn them off, either tap a switch, or consider tapping into the high beams. That way you can REALLY light it up, but turn them off sometimes. Not that they matter that much.

Connect them to the running lights, with or without a switch in between. I would put the switch if it were my bike. You never know when you want to be in "stealth" mode.

If there blue and facing forward the Leo's will stop you. I put a couple blue accent led's by my dash on the fjr and still hid them from outside view as much as possible. the dash area glows blue at night but you can only see them directly if your sitting on the bike.

Do they have the same blue light aversion for the public there?? Thugs from south of here, you know. They have different laws. Well, I heard they have SOME laws down there. Hard to say. They do, after all, drive on the wrong side of the road.

Maybe he was going to put them in that tank? I don't think the Leo's will mess with him in THAT thing!

Yes, you just about have to go with white, pink or green to not get fragged from Barneys.

Oops didn't realize he was from down under, might be ok there.

Now would be a good time to install a barrier strip, then wire them in thru a switch so that they are independent of the bike lights. They are, after all, most effective when the bike is off and parked. Their low power draw means you can have them on a long time with little or no battery drain.

Thanks for everyone's input...

No issues here with blue lights (that I am aware of) I have asked a mate of mine who is a copper and he said as long as they don't flash it's ok...several local cars here have ad them on for some time so there's no worries there. Power strip sounds good though I know there have been popular so I'll do a search before I ask about the where, how and who on the powerstrip otherwise the search police might get me

yes I think CBx6 did sommething like this but his lights were amber and flashed paradoxicly to his indicators...I just need mine to be fix on although a switch sounds interesting.

It varies by state and local jurisdiction's intensity. I wired mine directly to the running lights and been happy so far.

I've added LEAD to my fairing and now I cannot pull wheelies worth a crap! Seems like she "falls" into turn more as well. Any ideas?
