Gentlemen, I will see you at Starbucks on Lincoln Way in Auburn before 7am tomorrow. Really looking forward to it. And I'm happy to follow any route as long as I am back in Loomis by noon.
Back in Loomis by NOON works! See you at Starbucks in the a.m. Guess I better go replace the burned out headlamp bulb, gas her up, check the tires and get all accessories ready to go. If you have a GMRS radio, bring it along -- Mike and I both run with them, and it'll be channel 15 (just plugged mine into the charger).

Silly Tyler. Is Bust gentle with a lamb?

Unfortunately, being Sunday, we'll have to be cautious of enforcement via radar on some of the abuse worthy stretches. ;)

Rich, Mike,

Thanks for leading the ride. WOW! Without doubt, the best four hours of road I've ever enjoyed on the motorcycle. Awesome. Great scenery, great mixed road terrain, and great company.

Mike, sorry you had to endure the flat, and hope you got home okay. I made it right when my folks rolled up, and barbecuing now.

Thanks again, fellas! Looking forward to more rides soon.

Barry

GAWD, but I LOVE that stretch of Wentworth Springs Road from Eleven Pines Road to Ice House Road!!!!! Same kinda pavement quality as the lower (racetrack) portion of Skaggs Springs Road, ripping fast sweepers and then you come over the hill and down toward the back (west) side of the mountains forming the Tahoe Basin -- granite above, green where you're riding, morning sun lighting everything in that wide open valley -- and you hafta rip those rhythmic rollers coming down, with the bike leaned way over carving. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

So . . . it was kinda like church, just more spiritual.

A great time was had and it was very nice to meet you, Barry. Kudos to Mike for fixing that flat so fast, especially since it required 2 string pluggings for that ragged puncture. Mike and I rode down Sly Park road and he went south on Mt. Aukum Rd. for home from Pleasant Valley, a mile before I took Newtown Rd. back to Placerville and then 49 home. Mike called about 1:15 to say he made it home fine with air still in the tire. I suspect he's mounting tires this afternoon -- that front one was due and that was a nasty hole to put in a nearly new rear skin.

Dang, but that was fun. And shhhhhh! -- you both gotta keep my secret little stream crossing and pools spot to yourselves (you can show it to 'em, but don't tell 'em where it is). ;)

Dunno if this will work, but here's a link to the pictures I posted on Facebook:

If that doesn't work I'll try to build it on the Candy Butt site.....when I have time.

And...NO, I have not mounted the tires yet. I've other issues at the house....tires probably mounted this weekend.

Appears ya'll had a nice ride! :yahoo:

What caused the flat tire Mikeee? (and if you need pointers on easy posting to the cba site let me know..)
