Lights on NLine shelf?

I just installed my new NLine shelf assembly. Have not mounted any equipment to it yet.

Just wondering if anyone has mounted any lights on the outside edges of the shelf. Looks like it may be sturdy enough.

If you are speaking of Aux. Lights (?)… No way.

If you are talking about an LED map reading light such as this:

L-LED Lampsets by Littlite

…It will work, but will still bounce on the go.

My dash bounces like a dog crapping a peach pit over bumps and more minor road imperfections. I like it fine. It's just not mounted to any hard points- it and the fairing flex very easily. I would put lights somewhere attached to a hard point, but that's just me.

My NLine shelf is really solid. It held my iPad mini very steady for the two weeks I tried to make that work.

I wouldn't mount heavy lights on the edges, however, since the shelf attaches to the FJR's plastic dashboard. I'd worry about cracking the plastic.
