And where would one find this perfect little scissor jack available for purchase?

I moved last weekend. Picking up my hydraulic motorcycle jack isn't something that you want to do a lot. Lets not mention the amount of floor space it takes up.

I used my 3-ton floor jack on the FJR last week when I removed the front wheel. This little guy would have been perfect.

 
I have four of them. One for each lift. Yes I have to much **** but it sure is nice not having to look for stuff.

Are the flat ones with rubber any better or easier to use??

The ones with the posts are the way to do it because you can get around the exhaust header. The flat one would require spacer blocks

 
I have the top one and love it. It's a heavy little *******, but it works well. The little lifters are rubber coated and fully adjustable. You'll like it I think.

Got the first link one from Amazon, suspect most of them are made in the same place. Spent a few dollars more, but all good.

Note of caution, I have two, they say rated for 1100 lbs. BS. Be sure to grease the main screw so the threads don't gall on a heavy load (like a Goldwing). No problems using it on the FJR under the headers (I don't use the adapters).

When I lifted a Goldwing (on the centerstand), the threads started to gall and the split pin in the drive nut broke off, thrust bearing popped out.... got it fixed and greased. Good to go. I'd say capacity is 500 lbs.

 
Had one for a few years now it's holding up well, but then never tried picking up a Goldwing.

 
I know a Little Jack, down in North Myrtle Beach.. Doesn't hit the golf ball far but is dead nuts accurate. Drinks like a fish, too!

I use a 2 ton floor jack with a strip of wood under the pipes. Removing the handle is a must. I'm too broke to buy tools for one specific thing- the floor jack works well for tractors, lawnmowers, cars and trucks.

Changed tons of front tires using a floor jack. Bought a lift, and wanted this to be used on it. I must be getting old. Lol

 
How is the stability on this lift jack with supports? Does it require a wheel chock or tying the motorcycle off to a stand? My main use would be front tire changes, fork service and relay arm service.

 
I have used this jack for a front tire change before EOM last week and felt it was very stable. I put the bike center stand on a thin board and used this jack under the headers lifting until the rear tire touched. It was very stable and gave me plenty of room to get the front tire out from under the fender for removal. It felt much safer and less tippy than hanging the bike by the upper triple clamp.
